Thanks mate! just used your guide to disassemble the doors saved from guesswork. I just bought a tigra and as I feared the previous owner used SUPER cheep after market speakers and on top of that in reversed polarity! LOL!!!

thanks for the video. Would you be able to advise on the type of speaker needed to use if you are replacing the factory speaker? I've seen lot of coaxial speakers being used but wouldn't this be too much if you have the factory tweeters in built working with the coaxials also?

Hey PJ how can I remove the switch panel from the door handle without scratching the whole thing up? I wanna clean the button contacts because they are not reacting very responsive. I see a video on youtube here he does it with a knife but there must be a clean way to pop it out of there no?

the OEM spakers have a "roof" over the connector to prevent water dripping onto the terminals, aftermarket adapters dont have this, I guess to guarantee you buy another set of speakers later?

Nice video, but how do you actually remount it? For my door cards, the plastic clips that hold the door were completely destroyed and the side card couldn't even slide in properly.
I had to change the clips with new ones and then just press the door card toward the door. The two screws on the door handle bar are literally impossible to screw in, it takes a lot of time to find the right orientation.

Yes this can be a problem with age,the plastic clips go brittle and the upper edge can be tricky to get slotted in. Sadly just a case of taking your time and keeping an eye on the location clips as they go in.

Hi is there any door sensor when you take off the door cover ? Pls ...As my tigra twin top has the passenger window does not go up and I think it is the window motor does not function ...thanks

To find out if your motor is stuck, switch on the door courtesy light.
Switch the key in the ignition switch to position II.
      Now operate the window 'down.'
If it works, go to the next step but if not, you may notice the courtesy light go slightly dim. In this case, your motor is stuck or something is jamming the window. If not, then try cleaning the contact within the switch, checking the fuse.
      Operate your windows 'Up.'
Again, if they work slowly or don't lift up at all, and the door courtesy light goes slightly dim, the motor is getting stuck or something is jamming the window.
If the courtesy light doesn't dim when you operate the window then check clean the contacts within the switch and look for any other points where their are contacts such as connectors. Do the easiest stuff first.
Note: make sure your boot is latched shut, the roof completely closed and the latches in place, handbrake up.

Hiya, would you know how I can replace the wing mirror on my tigra, is it just the little plastic covering inside that needs to come off so I can unscrew and disconnect it? I just can’t seem to get it off 😩

On a 1994 to 2002 model you need to pop off the black plastic cover that has the small tweeter speaker in it,then remove three TX25 torx screws.
On newer models it's a case of popping the body coloured mirror back off the mirror and then removing 30mm torx screw, but watch any wiring that goes to the mirror as this will need to be unplugged as you pull the mirror upwards away from the door.

Do the dealers still have them stocked?

@@PJsprojects Not sure. Last year of manufacture was 2009 and EU law states that all manufacturers selling cars in the EEA have to support the car for a minimum of 10 years after last manufacture, so it's highly unlikely.
There are other Problems too: Opel got taken over by PSA recently. Heuliez, the coachbuilder went bust. Then they only made 30,000 of these cars, for the global market (Opel/Vauxhall/Holden)
Not holding out much hope unless there's still an aftermarket supplier out there but so far I've been unable to find one.
Nightmare though, you can't have these cars sitting outdoors for long periods (days) because they will accumulate water in the doors. I've had to take action by drilling a couple of drain holes and coating exposed steel with zinc primer, then use a wax protector to slow down any corrosion from the inside.
