My favorite part of this performance, when they sing together.
The whole thing is great.
But, thst moment is special.
Read somewhere Ren can hold his breath for 3`30`` and regularly trains aiming for 3`50``. It´s like Ren is a talent magnet. Everyone I´ve seen him collab or perform with are amazing talents in their own right. He seems to bring out the best in people.
One day Ren was walking home after busking, and came across this young guy who was singing all alone on the street, with no guitar or PA. He thought he was really good, but he seemed very shy and uncertain. Ren offered to the kid to borrow his PA and his guitar, but he said he couldn't play guitar. So Ren offered to play guitar for him and to let him use his PA, so that people could hear him better. That kid was Sam.
There's a short video of that day - they're both very young with their Justin Bieber haircuts. There's a comment from Sam on that video, where he says he would cry when he watched it back, as Ren went through year after year after year of declining health, with no end in sight. Like everyone Ren works with - both in front of as well as behind the camera - Sam is first and foremost Ren's friend. Everything you've seen from Ren is all just Ren and his friends. It's special.
Great reactions. Ren's body language and facial expressions don't lie. That boy's a rare one. Born with music in him. Reminds me of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Possessed almost. Beautiful to see.

Sam has been signed to a label for the last couple of years (not too long after this video was shot) and does write his own music as well as playing the guitar. So far he's had a bit of success in the UK charts (1 top 10 album). He's got a short US tour coming up!

I think Taylor Swift started in Nashville as more of a country singer, but Billie Eilish definitively owes a lot of her early success to RUclips and other social media venues.
Yes. She was country. I can’t find this in a Google search to back this up but I swear I remember her singing a couple of times with Glen Campbell back when she was a young teenager. I thought it odd at the time because he was a LOT older. At the time it seemed like he was mentoring her or maybe just giving her some exposure - maybe Taylor was signed with the same record label as him. Idk. She wasn’t very impressive at the time.
I don’t know why I can’t find it in Google. All I can find is her singing at a tribute for him a decade later. But I can still remember it clearly. It stuck out because of their age difference and her inexperience. Her guitar style and singing was, and is, unique to her.
