Started the year with a full bag of PXG clubs except putter (just cant give up my Evnroll Er2B. love it). I haven't smiled this much in a long time golfing. My 0211 Driver is the 10.5 and absolutely love it.
Just played with the new PXG driver today, absolutely ripped it, all the boys who tried it did the same. Prefer the dull top line and the sound from the PXG.
PXG clubs offer the best bang for the buck. They outperform all the major brands I have used and been fitted for. Some of the brands I tested were 2 or 2 1/2 times pricier than the PXG. The iron results were the same. Mr. Parsons is convincing many people about his products!
We can't get PXG in South Africa. I managed to import one from the US. Came in a good R3000 (£167) cheaper than the competitors. Love it. Increased my distance by about 20m and it looks great.
I’m buying the 0211. Just on price alone. With those numbers between the 2 drivers being so minimal. Save yourself $200 and get a PXG hybrid. Great video.
The PXG 0211 driver is now down to $119 on their website with the stock shaft and free shipping. I can’t remember the last time I saw a brand new driver on close out price that cheap. What a deal.
Have you thought about teeing the ball up slightly higher. Trend over a few videos has been contact below the middle of face. Slight higher up the face might help you increase launch and knock some spin off
Titleist prices are just crazy so no longer on my list for testing, they lose money just like other brands too. Titleist clubs for looks and quality fabulous but it’s those prices for the average golfer, love the T400 but big bucks. In fairness Callaway , Taylormade and Ping and Srixon all got expensive. That leaves Wilson, Cobra, and Cleveland, as the brands offering some value. Still clearly plenty of people happy to pay big bucks but,for me as a senior high handicapper a poor investment. Great review as usual.
Don't forget Tour Edge, I've got an ES220 and it is brilliant. A fraction of the price of the bigger brands with no lack of performance, golf is very much a fickle sport where image is as important to many as performance. But £500 for a driver is insane. Surely the only people spending that much are either die hard Titleist fans or people with too much money.
Drivers are sickeningly overpriced. $530 for a driver that people believe will cure a slice or hook. I'm willing to bet that the cost to manufacture is no more than $100 or even less.
Just sold my t 300 irons and bought 0211 dual cores , my titleist look 5 years old after 5 weeks absolutely terrible finish they used on them, very disappointed sold everything but my 2 vokeys the rest is pxg in the bag , I won't be back . What a difference !!!!!!
How crazy is it the PXG clubs are now less than most brands? Aside from the gen 4 0311 irons everything is either market price or less. I just got fitted for a whole bag minus a putter (the newport 2.6 in black finish isn't going anywhere) and spent $3k. DON'T TELL MY WIFE!
The TSi2 has a very slightly nicer sound and feel and the dispersion a smidge better on 5 shots. Gotta be worth £200 more surely? I bought the PXG driver and irons and couldn`t be happier.
Michael, your strikes are fantastic, could be covered by a US dime. But just an observation. The spin on both drivers seems to be a bit high for 9 degrees. If you could cut 300-400 rpm off either one of these drivers, would it not produce greater carry given your quite high club and ball speeds? Could this be influenced by the ball you are using? Is it the higher spin TM ball? On the other hand, the height and landing angles are not particularly high or steep.
I bought the pxg 811x Proto driver 3-wood and hybrids and I will tell you for the new price as you can't get better more adjustable clubs that are quality
Using the pxg driver 10.5. With a full complement of m2 fairway woods + cobra irons 5-60* degree. All season long soon as the course opens. New England golf what can ya do?? ( besides move). Lol.
Going to do a PXG club fitting next month fro the 0211 irons. Looking at a possible full bag replacement via PXG. What are your thoughts on someone who swings the driver around 100 - 105 mph buying the 0211 Driver? Would this be something for those of us with slower swing speeds? Thanks for the Videos!
Yes £200 diff in price PXG will suit golfers pockets like mine got to remember the Gen 4 driver is priced at just over 500 think Parsons going to clean up with him marketing Sratergy aiming at club golfers this might bring down the crazy prices
@@TimBarnesPolygonPerformance yes probably the most expensive here now, and I really do not understand why, nowhere near the best. Probably the first time in 15 years they’ve got anywhere near other drivers
@@keithn1 In NZ they're $100 (50 pound cheaper) cheaper than Sim2, Srixon, Callaway e.t.c (450 pound here, or $899 NZ) - TBH, I've always been a titleist fan, and when I tested them the TSi3 was only being beat by Sim2 and TSi4 for me personally (and I couldn't control either of those)
@@TimBarnesPolygonPerformance yes of course each to his own, it all depends what feels right, but if pxg and cobra can make a profit it just shows how much they are ripping us off for usually a gain of a yard here or there if your lucky. Then again they know us golfers are mugs for new shiny stuff 🤣🤣
@@keithn1 Well on that, PXG is more expensive here than Cobra or Titleist, and Cobra is the same price as Titleist. I would expect PXG to come down with market share here though, at the moment its quite hard to get. I'm definitely a sucker for shiny things, but from the perspective of concentration as well I find Titleist easier on the eye to focus on one thing.
I bought the 0211 Driver at $119. and the fairways at $89. each. They went straight in the bag and they have stayed there. I find them easy to hit straight and consistent.
A company that sat at an unrealistic price point and is now undercutting premium manufacturers. My question is how do they explain their original pricing. I wouldn’t touch their product.

The Titleist does look beautiful! Just bought the 0211 though 😁
Just shows a good consistence swing is king Shows just how close all the drivers are these days Good Test Mike thanks
PXG has really made an impact with this change in marketing!
Great video. Bang for Buck, no brainer. PXG clear winner 👍
Just played with the new PXG driver today, absolutely ripped it, all the boys who tried it did the same. Prefer the dull top line and the sound from the PXG.
Likening my 0211 driver so bought the full compliment 3 and 5 and 2 hybrids all at great price point

Yes, a better deal by far for the PXG 0211...I have one in the mail now!

Great vid. 👍
FYI they're £235 from pxg now.
When you look at those numbers, that's a steal.
Just ordered the PXG can't wait to hit it
Just got and gamed the 0211 Driver for the first time last weekend and it is a great driver! Easy to find the middle of the face!
I agree - it is very consistent.
The head lie angle and open / closed + the shaft makes the most influential difference for dispersion for me, not just the head

Very surprised the numbers were so even, PXG has really come on strong with the 0211 product release.
All drivers are maxed out.

Will you be testing the PXG 0811 GenO4 driver? Am hearing it involves major advances. Really enjoy and respect your comparison tests.
Hopefully, just need to get my hands on one
It would be interesting to see how each would do if they were properly fitted to you. That comparison would be much more meaningful to me.
In the Toronto area, PXG fitters, sell 0211 Drivers for $600 ish, Complete fitting and premium shaft.
Performance basically the same so take the price difference and put it towards a new set of irons....
Now £300 difference - PXG 0211 currently £205 !
wow
@@MichaelNewtonGolf now 199 and the 0811 £249

Put the Proto X up against the TSi3 or G425 LST.
I have the proto it will destroy all of them
What shaft did you use?? Thanks
For the price difference why would anyone choose the Titleist?
Did Private Parsons let his dog loose on that hosel? 3:36 the thing looks chewed up.
Actually the hosel looks fine but the base of the ferrule looks dinged up and has paint or finish missing.
For the price, the PXG is the better deal...almost the same numbers.
Do you tend to pay much attention to swing weight when going into a new driver?
Who would have thought it that there is 200£ difference but PXG is actually cheaper
It’s crazy he’s doing this whole video with no glove.
Not sure it’s worth £200 more tho for sound. Performance almost identical.
I am surprised by the loose dispersion of the pxg.Was that all you Michael?

200 pounds? No brainer. Take the change and get a fairway wood too
299 pounds
@@stewtiley7980 now on sale, checked out the site yesterday
One extra yard of carry for £200 that’s a lot of money
