Why would a British citizen present medals to American soldiers ? This is a total insult to the American soldiers. Even though Haz was on the army for 10 years , he was protected from any real danger , even at the cost of endangering his fellow soldiers.

It’s NOT a military medal. It wasn’t sponsored by the US military in any way. It is a prize awarded by a private publication that caters to our military. He still was a very poor choice-and it pisses me off-however, it’s nothing to do with our actual military people/command. None.
Because the athletes are competing at the Invictus Games (founded by Harry, ok?) and, they are not "America's games" or whatever it is you find so offensive about the founder presenting a wounded soldier athlete with their medal. smh Soldiers all over the world are invited to participate. Different countries have hosted the games since their inception. Easy enough to to Google their Wikipedia page. No I'm not a "sugar". Just fed up with unnecessary drama.

Harry wasn't "stripped" of anything. When he stepped away from being a working royal, his honorary patronages were redistributed to other working royals. Yeah, the rag mags "tore him up" because he wanted to be independent of the RF. The truth of the matter, is, you don't have to have served in the military, etc., to be the "commander" (or whatever the title is for whichever honorary patronage) per Catherine's appointments and Anne's - or Camilla's. This is simple stuff.
Harry is able to wear the military medals he gained through his service! He was stripped of the honorific titles.
I find it hard to believe that there are no Americans that are being considered worthy of presenting awards to Americans. Whoever invited, asked or paid for this has made a mockery of those who served the military. They deserve better.

As a distant relative of the Spencer family, you can guess my thoughts on Camilla back in the day. However, I have come to adore her and am so thankful for the spectacular job she has been doing all these years. I am so touched by her service and her flawless devotion to King and country. Never once a victim - what a strong and amazing Queen she is!

3 of the 4 are “Jubilee” medals that are basically mementos of each occasion, given to many. He got them because his Granny was Queen. The 4th is for his presence in a theatre of war, Afghanistan, which would be given to all the others who were there-he didn’t do anything special.

So many of you who are much more aware of Royal (and non royal) activities, have predicted how the ARO project would be conducted. Like so many of the high and mighty projects of the Harkles start up with major word salad and pie in the sky, then silence, then a new project starts up before the last one has left the ground. And on and on and on..... And in the end, the failure of every project is not the fault of the Harkles. It is always the fault of the Royal Family, the Press, Racial prejudice, Prince Phillips inconsiderate choice of dying and stealing the grifter's thunder, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's passing, Meghan had to stay home to bake a birthday cake, or picking up milkshakes for the kids, or one of the kids is ill. First the masculine Diana statue and now this horrible statute of QEII that looks nothing like either of them. Surprised this was green lit for a public unveiling. 😬
The statue of the late Queen is a disaster! It in no way reflects her beauty, strength, courage, humor, or devotion to duty. The dogs were quite irrelevant. What I did find myself missing was the late Prince Phillip standing a half-step behind and to her side where he lovingly been most of her life.
Queen Elizabeth’s jam sandwich and tea with Paddington Bear on her jubilee celebration defeats all adverts on jam Megain could ever imagine, not to mention King Charles’ clip of his jam with crumpet.
This is NOT a combat medal for bravery under fire. The Afghanistan medal was presented to ALL those who served in the war, not just Harry as a 'thank you for service' to the soldiers from the Queen.
So the Afghanistan medal is also a participation award not for heroic service. Figures.

The new statue of Queen Elizabeth II shows that the genuine art of making statues is gone, and no longer exists in the world. The statue of Diana a couple of years ago proved it as well.

I agree with you River I think the Royal Family have managed well thanks to Camilla, Anne, Edward, Sophie and not forgetting a few of the more elder and wider members of the family who have also undertaken a few duties here and there too. May be not as well reported on or in the number of times, nevertheless they have supported and done their bit while Charles and Catherine have had their respective surgeries, been receiving their treatments and recuperating. I think they have all done a sterling job.

Harry was wrapped up in cotton wool in the army and security protection at all times so any medals are just for show as he really has no idea what the veterans have gone through .the only PTSD he may have is from marriage to Megan and her mother’s influence .

I couldn't let it pass to comment on Harry's medals when he presented an award. I got some identical ones when I returned my jam labels to Robinson's with 6d and got my badges. So there... medals and jam while support the UK all in one go.
I fully understand your point about the statue, but I must admit that the addition of the doggies softened it all for me. The obvious touch of humour and warmth made it quite an endearing tribute.
