- Dory Never Wandered Off...Her 'Amnesia' Exposed How Her Parents Secretly Abandoned Her |Finding Dory
One of the biggest questions that Pixar ever posed was answered in Finding Dory when fans finally learned the truth about how Dory got separated from her family and why they could never find her. The movie, as a whole, is really funny and heartwarming, but after taking a closer look at some of the scenes that depict Dory’s childhood, it’s hard not to see a pattern that has led some fans to speculate that Dory didn’t actually get lost at all. Instead, what really happened is much more tragic, and if it’s true, then it means that Dory’s parents may have been truly horrible fish.

I don’t think it’s Dory’s parents fault. I genuinely think Dory did have a memory problem because of a disorder and her parents did what they could do. They even used Dory’s way of thinking so that she’d be able to find them. they blamed themselves for Dory getting caught in the undertow and escaped to find her. That doesn’t sound like parents who’d abandon their kid.
Agreed 😊
I second this one ✋️
By that logic, the parents would have cleared out all the shells from the current, but instead there was a purple she right next to the undertow. Dory’s mom mentioning purple shells being her favorite. It seems like a sneaky set up to me.
Who else thinks we need a “finding Merlin?” 😂 I do!
Making me cry at 1am in the morning is just rude lol
I found it hilarious actually
I’m here for you friend 🫂
It honestly would not surprise me if it's all true. Disney is pretty dark
Disney was always dark they were just good at hiding it.
Cough, Cough: The Owl House.
@@keyairakinslow9598How are these stories in any way similar.
I think they did try, however they accepted her possible death and dropped shells in memorial of her
Hooray! It is a breath of fresh air for me to see someone talk about Finding Dory in 2023, even if they are not really reviewing it, because I was a bit worried that nobody wanted to remember Finding Dory after the advents of Luca and Little Ellen in 2021. Luca because it is Pixar's new version of Finding Nemo with human-like sea monsters instead of fish, and Little Ellen because that was a preschool series about Ellen's childhood that got critically panned after it started getting produced at the worst time in 2019. Since many of us in 2020 found out that Ellen was a very rude person and a very bad host who is meaner than how she wants us to see her, almost nobody cared about Little Ellen when its writing and animation was mediocre to begin. I have come to learn that it is possible to hate Ellen DeGeneres and Little Ellen, but still like Finding Nemo and Finding Dory at the same time, and I already think Finding Dory is a good sequel to begin before you made this video.
I feel very miffed about Finding Dory being the last Pixar sequel that Aldone has not reviewed yet, and it is the film about which he talked the least in his video about all of Pixar's bad sequels, but he said Finding Dory was another great sequel in that exact video and the only terrible thing about it is a false equivalence he made when he thought Marlin and Nemo were side characters in Finding Dory in the same way Lightning McQueen was a side character in Mater's story from Cars 2, but he neglected to touch on why Finding Dory does a much better job as a sequel about Dory than Cars 2 did as a sequel about Mater. This is why I wish he would give Finding Dory its own review after he reviewed Incredibles 2 and Cars 2, and why I am grateful to see you make a video about Finding Dory today.
well there is an inside out 2 later in 2024
Right away, I suspected that Dory's parents had ditched her because they couldn't cope with her memory loss. I was actually somewhat disappointed that that turned out not to be the case.
Then explain why they put down shells so dory can find them? Did you even watch the movie?
Yeah, why did they do that I mean, if dory has problems with her memories, did they think using a sea shell would jogged her memory 🤔
@@ethansimmons3003 Dory is also easily distracted. They probably thought she would just follow the pretty shells home.
This theory actually makes sense. Dory seemed like too much of a burden to take care of. Dory’s mom tells Dory that purple shells are her favorite and there just happens to be a purple shell right next to the undertow current. Knowing the dangers of that current you would think they would clear all of the shells in that area. Dory’s mom crying the night Dory disappears seems like guilt for setting it up.
Since I used to watch both of them, when you watched Finding Dory, she got swept away, but from the old movie of Finding Nemo,I think that she also got swept away, because they didn't put that part at all in Finding Nemo.
It’s a pretty Dark Theory, that most likely looks for me and makes a lot of sense. So I believe in this Theory.
I have short-term and long term memory loss too like Dory my stepmom said that I act like Dory and I felt sad
Oh my😢. Well at least that means you're so nice that you can make a friend from anywhere. I know what it's like to be different...I have PTSD, OCD, ADHD, depression, autism and I had a brain tumor in the front of my head ever since I was 4 and just got it removed last year, so I had to wait until I was 14... I'm 15 now. I may of been super smart because the tumor being in the front causes problem solving skills but I was never aloud to do anything like swim or something because I could drown. And all my medical problems make me only see the world in dark evil. But with help it can change so it should get better for you at some point.
@@UwU.Gacha0425 thx but what is ocd what does it mean and I have depression and special needs and autism
Obsessive compulsive disorder
😮So i could see this theory being true because in the movie *spoilers* she with the help of friends and friends end up in a blue tang aquarium and the blue tangs realize who Dory is and blue tangs and Marlin tell her there gone to disappear for there daughter life just because of her short term memory loss I could see that because in real life parents who have special kids sometimes abandon their kids and they go to adoption or they go with somebody else but then they got out of the the facility Dory parents and started finding shells to lead dory back in to there life because of the real guilt the guilt would stop it was fake then it was real it got so real but they started fighting shells again and they regretted what they did and they were like let's do the shells again so dori can come back into our lives so i could seek this theory being true deluxe 💯🐙🐳
I have special needs and my dad didn’t abandon me because he loved me but my biologic mom probably didn’t love me
I don't believe in this theory
… Yes sir, Mr. President! 🫡
Well Dory has to be Nemo's stepmom if she has a relationship between him and Marlin
