I m a beginner and your steps were just simplified and helps me a lot in my practice.tks.
Great explanation. 👍
do you think u could make a video about chord progressions and do some explaining about how to create your own?
Great idea! I think a good place to start is choosing chords that all belong in the same key. I'll have a series soon on how to think and play in different keys.
Thank you
this is so helpful and clear. deserves a million views for real
Thank you!
Sir Ted thank you for these tutorials and I was kindly asking if you could explain when to apply passing chords in worship songs
Thanks for the video! On 0:15 it seems it is Dmaj9 🙂
Where do i find vides for beginners..
hello sir. love from INDIA.
on 3:42 you have put G as a BASS. then how it can be Cm/Eb ?
where is the 'simplification'?
starting at 2:40 - suggested replacements for advanced chord symbols with simpler 3-note chords like major and minor
@@pianofluency oh, so you are suggesting to simplify the advanced chords with the use of just basic chords? I couldn't read that from the video - I was watching it, waited for the simplification of the advanced chords, and then it just ended ...
@@MrFolklorum this video might help if you're wanting to learn how to play advanced chords in their entirety ruclips.net/video/l54JKFpDfso/видео.html
@@pianofluency I understand the theory, but I thought you will offer a special piano technique in your video how to play simplified advanced chords (RH+LH, omit the root, the 3rd, 5th ...) - that's what confused me. Keep up the good work!
@@MrFolklorum my pleasure! Always helpful to hear feedback. Sounds like you're on the right track - omitting the 5th is a great place to start if you're already comfy finding all the voices of a 7th chord but want to thin out the texture.
I'll release more videos soon on arranging techniques and rootless voicings! Feel free to let me know if there's anything in specific you're curious about :)
TL;DR: play triads
This is not for beginners. 😊
