- The single game I put the most hours into as a kid on the NES? Tecmo Super Bowl. Countless seasons and customized pro bowls and preseason games with friends.

Probably one of my favorite games as a child growing up.

Dennis Byrd was a beast, I wasn't the best at running with them but Al Toon and Terrance Mathis were good receivers
The middle is typically the best spot. But if you have a fast defenseman lined up somewhere else, that could be an option, too. I've done it (blocked a kick) a few times with guys like John Offerdahl, Mike Singletary, and Rod Woodson.

Pick detroit and use Jerry Ball to go through the center and sack the quarterback like 50 percent of the time. 2. You can change the opponents plays to your liking so you can know what plays they use. 3. When running with the ball go diagonally up and down to slow down the cpu when they are running after you. Just a few tricks I learned

I have have the snes version right now..I still play it regularly.....I'm a football junlie..growing up in houston I was an oiler / bills fan as a kid.... lookn for some tecmo fans out there..
Tecmo Super Bowl still have a thriving community! There's online leagues for it, and every year there's some in person events too near the Midwest. There's also rom hacks that give updated rosters every year.

I just went 16-0 with the Jets and lost in the Super Bowl.
go Jets! The game gets so hard in the playoffs and super bowl. If you reset before the game is over, you can keep replaying it until you win!
I just couldn't get the offense going in the Super Bowl. The two dl for the 49ers were dominating my ol.

@@straystrength6502 It should be done automatically. The cartridge has a battery save on it. Otherwise, depends how you're playing the game - there might be some Save State functionality you can use.
tips and strategies:
1) pick the raiders
2) pick running play with bo jackson
3) profit
that's boring though, Pick the Colts and win the Super Bowl without hacks or cheats. There's a challenge, picking the Cowboys, Redskins, San Fran, Giants, Bills, Oilers, and maybe Miami/Philly is easy mode.
How to interception a ball ?
I still enjoy this game, however , I like a challenge so I give my opponent the best plays and players
Depends what you're going for! I like to go stat-whoring and max it however I can vs the AI. Onside kicks all the time so they have less yards on offense in the stats, that type of stuff.
@@nescapeplan9494 yeah I have done that but lately I try to do things that still make the game Fun and competitive so what I have been doing is I give them all good plays and I only pick the last running play every time and so therefore it's up to me to stop they're passing game and it definitely is a challenge especially against the better teams
I like to use the worst teams to try to take them to da playoffs..and a superbowl. Drives me insane when the cpu cranks up the defense.. bucs, Seahawks, colts, pats were my hardest coaching jobs 🔥🔥😉👍

If playing the Bills with Jets at 15-0 in last week of season, this would not be possible, lol. Hack the schedule and give it a try 😂
Also tip on how to play this Bills play book. ALWAYS pick the first pass play. Use the center on the Pro Set plays and stop both running plays before the hand-off. On single back, use left MLB to rush and stop both PA pass and run. Shot gun use fastest player to rush between the guard and center at the RB.
Tip number 1: STOP BO JACKSON.... THE END LMAO!
This game is so awesome but also so stupid. If the LA Raiders could trade Jay Schroeder for Troy Aikman and Riki Ellison for Lawrence Taylor, this game would be perfect.
Why does this game get ridiculously difficult after week 6? I got shut out by the fucking cardinals and i use miami. Earlier in the season i was 4-0 but week 6 is the wall. Just predicts every play and no open recievers. Forces run game only.
Wait until you get into the playoffs. That's where the AI gets really broken
Facts..in a postseason..the cpu takes away ur strengths..there dbs stick to wrs like glue..theyll give up some short stuff but the long game is tough..dont let them have a good dl
