I watch Judge Simpson frequently ( the driving while suspended judge). He's a great judge, and there was a lot more to that case man. That man never did have a license to suspend! Lol
And he had a warrant as well, so he was also jailed.

I can't believe these people won't be giving us any shows until October. Think of the number of Prime Ministers who will have resigned by then. Think of the possibility that they'll miss an important Coronation (right after they miss an important funeral). HIGNFY will be so far behind the news by October that they'll never catch up. They'll have to go OVERSEAS to focus on anything CURRENT. If anything important is happening in the USA in late autumn I'll send a cable to this show's producers.

17:39 - I always love to see certain people doing Cameo, because I think it means they've hit rock bottom, financially. I'm certain that Rudy Giuliani has worked for Cameo after he lost the right to practice law in at least one high-income jurisdiction, and I believe that Giuliani also wished Hugh Janus a happy birthday. But maybe it was Mike Hunt. Or Robert Meeoff's brother, Jack. At the very least Giuliani greeted Arthur Nouveau, whose friends call him "Art".

And have I got a bit more context about the story at 28:08 - In January 2022, a judge had rescinded the order that suspended Corey Harris’ driver’s license so it could be reinstated. That judge’s order was not properly communicated to the state’s secretary of state’s office. So in reality, Mr Harris should have been free and clear to drive to a doctor’s appointment or anywhere else he wanted to go. I hope he sues the hell out of them and gets a nice payday for being put in jail for several days and the embarrassment this all caused him.
Turns out he never had a license. Got his permit in 1999 but never went any further. And he was wanted on a warrant from another county.

Unfortunately, Carol got the math wrong. Trump's maximum sentence would, in fact, be 20 years according to New York statue. Dammit.
CBS News reported that each count carries a sentence of up to 4 years in prison and up to $5k fine which would be served concurrently, so 4 years maximum. It’s possible the judge might sentence him to home detention and require an ankle monitor because of the special circumstances of requiring a secret service detail.
She didn't get the math wrong so much as they got the law wrong. The math problem she was given was solved correctly.
