It doesn't help that the little jingle that plays when you free them is so catchy. It like double imprints the thickness into your brain. Rayman Origins really knew how to get those endorphins flowing with really everything it does, the thicc nymphs are really just one of the many many things I love this game for.
I just spent the last two weeks playing through rayman legends and thinking 'I don't remember why I didn't like this so much the first time I played it.' Watching this video reminded me how much better origins was. Best platformer I have ever played.
I can understand and even agree to an extent. Legends is one of those "If it ain't broke" type sequels. Like Super Mario Galaxy 2 or Guacamelee 2, it knows how good the 1st one was and how high it set the bar so it just gives you more of that plus a few new ideas tacked on to feel fresh instead of trying to reinvent the wheel and fall on its face. On one hand, this is probably the smartest/safest thing to do development wise, on the other, the sequel doesn't hit as hard as the first one did when you first played it. Even though it's still good and you're still enjoying it, the fact that you weren't absolutely wowed like you were with the 1st one kinda affects your opinion of the sequel.

We can all agree that for all its faults Legends is still leagues better than anything Ubisoft's released since then. Maybe once their next big "live service" project fails like they all do then the execs will get their heads out of their asses and let talented people like the makers of this and Legends do their own thing again.

When I played this for the first time I was like this seems like a good kid friendly game when I was younger but then the nymphs showed up and you can guess what happened next
Betilla's my favorite out of them all. I think it's got something to do with my fondness of redheads, but her design's very simple and clean in a way that's hard to put into words. Otherwise, I like the others in an equal way.

Edith Up and Holly Luya have one of the best color combos ever, however Anette Fish has probably the best design out of all of them in correspondence to the powers.
I’m actually gonna talk about something other than their thiccness lol. I love their designs because each of them are beautiful and unique the art style makes them adorable. And I love how each of them have their own look, and Edith and Voodoo Mama even have their own body shapes unique to them! Their designs even have small details, making them even cooler to look at. The fact that they made them all look different in their own ways, instead of just the same people over and over again, with little to no difference really shows the amount of love put into the art of this game. That and they’re thicc so….:p
Also I don’t mind them being dressed skimpy because it actually makes sense for their character. They’re nymphs and according to mythology nymphs are seductive creatures who are live in nature and are connected to it. So it makes sense that their clothes are revealing because if you lived in nature your whole life, your clothes would be revealing because you would make them out of the very little resources you have. And that’s even IF you would wear clothes! Lol

I like how the voodoo priestess look like the type of gal who doesn't shampoo often, goes to bed with her makeup on because she's lazy (I've been there myself), has a weird assortment of random ass tattoos, is wearing a piece that reminds me of what a vaporwave goth would wear to bed just to get cozy in, and she even doesn't have a bra on- And yet, Rayman is just as stoked to see her, and really happy to have helped rescue her just like for all the other Nymphs. This feels really sweet to see. And actually, Ive never played the Rayman series, I'll be honest, I only clicked for the thumbnail and I'm glad for it, this looks beautiful and charming as a series.

Legends has too many checkpoints. Origin wasnt really a hard game but it was challenging enough to be fun.

I’m actually gonna talk about something other than their thiccness lol. I love their designs because each of them are beautiful and unique the art style makes them adorable. And I love how each of them have their own look, and Edith and Voodoo Mama even have their own body shapes unique to them! Their designs even have small details, making them even cooler to look at. The fact that they made them all look different in their own ways, instead of just the same people over and over again, with little to no difference really shows the amount of love put into the art of this game. That and they’re thicc so….:p
Also I don’t mind them being dressed skimpy because it actually makes sense for their character. They’re nymphs and according to mythology nymphs are seductive creatures who are live in nature and are connected to it. So it makes sense that their clothes are revealing because if you lived in nature your whole life, your clothes would be revealing because you would make them out of the very little resources you have. And that’s even IF you would wear clothes! Lol
My favorite part is the fact that they all have their different accents.

I like how the voodoo priestess look like the type of gal who doesn't shampoo often, goes to bed with her makeup on because she's lazy (I've been there myself), has a weird assortment of random ass tattoos, is wearing a piece that reminds me of what a vaporwave goth would wear to bed just to get cozy in, and she even doesn't have a bra on- And yet, Rayman is just as stoked to see her, and really happy to have helped rescue her just like for all the other Nymphs. This feels really sweet to see. And actually, Ive never played the Rayman series, I'll be honest, I only clicked for the thumbnail and I'm glad for it, this looks beautiful and charming as a series.
