Well done bro for your effort to give us this beautiful culture of Africans in Belize. I really enjoyed in and also learnt a lot. Stay safe over there.
That steelpan music came from my home country T&T but how it’s being played here lacks the spread of the base and the soprano pans . The dance music is a mix of Latin with African interpretations. Baila baila!
I love steel pan music. I will be making a video about caribbean music which will include the steel pan. I will be talking to 2 brothers from T&T in my next video. They made me wanna travel there for the emancipation festival. Thanks for the observation.
Mickey Agyei Hmm I wonder if the pan( steel pan) is coming directly from the continent, because when you look at certain ethnic culture in West Africa they use a pan to scratch out sounds, announce important information and make music at festival times. So I wonder if the pan is not a transportation of African expression in the new world. Just thinking out loud. @@hodgemoss I've seen and experienced different kinds of steel used as musical instruments but not the way it's used with the steel pans. It's very fascinating. The sounds they make seem very refined. I'd like to see how they are made. But you can never tell, it's in our DNA to make instruments from anything we lay our hands on.

I think the Arawak and Caribs were mentioned at the beginning of the part 1 of this video. Please try and check it. My journey to Dangriga was to cover what you beautiful Garifuna people had on show. Maybe, I looked at it too much from a west African point of view.
@@MickeyAgyei why don't people show the Amaru people which in taino means YOU of the so called returnees that went into west Africa ie tabon saro agunda maroons krio tribes or of there history The people's that brought American culture to West Africa ie food like cassava and corn cocoa
Why are Africans trying to chat shit. Ur ppl from your tribes was never taking or family members. It's all a lie. American indians was brought to africa, Europe an spain. Places like seirre Leone they are Indians over their an many other places in africa have American indians. You are a foreginer, stop trying to get Americans of their land.
