Great video. Was able to remove my screen and replace it, although my tape apparently wasn’t strong enough because the screen lifted up. What can I do to fix this and can I ask where you get your tape? Thank you Jonathan!

Hannah Gusto , I get my tape from a wholesale site. At the moment I cannot disclose everything, but the tape is Tessa Red Tape. Size vary from 1mm to 20mm. 2mm,3mm and 5mm was shown in the video. The frame being clean is a must, though I assume that wasn’t an issue, also the plastic frame or bezel cannot have any dents or anything hindering the screen from sitting flush. If all that is done and you put it on some sort of press, I use the crank clamps you see at the beginning to evenly distribute pressure along the edges of the new screen for a few hours (6-24) to allow the new adhesive to lock hold!

Thanks for your video. I have a problem, i can't remove the two screws of the motherboard. I tried and tried and it seems I swept it away, any tip? I don't know what to do...

A new screw driver tip. Maybe a rubber band later over the head and driver tip place on it and a good bit or torque. Last case scenario is a dremol tool to cut a flat head groove, but that’s for the steady handed tech. This is repair talk btw, just my watching account. 😏

Decent video, but can't really see what you're doing. A camera angle right above you would be helpful.

I had some sound issues when I took the motherboard out and put it back, unit seems to be working just fine with the new screen, any ideas what i might have missed when it comes to the speakers? or sound?

Make sure the mid frame it seated correctly, if there is a space between the gold points on the motherboard and the connectors on the speaker it won’t have sound. Could just need to thread the screws in a little further.
