  • Sow thistles are overlooked edible wild plants that provide us with many nutrients. The perennial sow thistle (Sonchus arvensis) is often confused with the annual sow thistle (Sonchus oleraceus) and this video shows you both!

Wonderful video. Well done, just had some sow thistle and prickly lettuce snacking out of front yard for lunch snack! No chemicals on our property. Neighbors not sure, but love our developing natural food forest!!! Subscribed and learning more 😊

Perhaps you would consider taking your Sow Thistle and sautéing them and making a dish for us… As an example… Please… Pretty please…!

Have I been mistaking Sow Thistle for Wild Lettuce? I'd like to see you do a comparison video. Does the Sow Thistle "bleed" a white latex sap?

I've been randomly throwing birdseed for my cats lol they chase it and it's how I trick them to go play outside. Anyway 😂 whatever grows and doesn't get eaten, I'm hoping for wild edibles

Your presentation is very nice. It would have been better if the time was a little shorter
I want to use this plant and leaves and flowers as feed in my poultry farm how reasonable would it be?

It is always hard getting the perfect timing, but thank you for your kind words. I don't know what to feed poultry other than chickweed and let them run free (within a fenced area of course).
