It seems that the path of cloud security is daunting. Im starting from scratch and it seems that climbing up to a level where i am even remotely attractive to an employer is dizzying. Im taking it day by day and learning as much as I can. Everyone talks about getting experience, but just how the heck do you do that without being in the job.

Would taking the CCSP give you a leg up with more Intermediate to expert AWS Certs?

@vicloop827 bro how did you get those certificates...is it free??

@@paulraj6047 @paulraj6047 No they're not free. Look them up because a conversation here would be extremely lengthy. google it and you will get all the information you need. The names of the certs are AWS Certified Cloud Practicioner. Then they also have an Associate level cert. Good luck.

Security Speciality would be a logical cert

If you have existing experience in AWS Cloud or currently working in it. it would make sense to head for the AWS Security Speciality Certification. If you don't have any experience in AWS, then it would be recommended to start working on real life projects which you can list in your resume/linkedin profile for when you apply for cloud security role. Most cloud security roles would like to know that they don't have to teach you cloud fundamentals or how to use the cloud for a particular business problem. Hope it makes sense?

@@CloudSecurityPodcast i did AZ 900 and SC900 from Azure. Would you recommend for me to do AZ104 (Administrator) before going for AZ500 (Security engineer)?

Exactly what I did! I did. the solutions architect first last month then security specialty last week!

@@shanksshanks6819 Yes based on the information you have shared about yourself - we would recommend that as an ideal path but if you have a lot of experience in Azure then based on your experience you might be able to go straight for the AZ500. Another suggestion could be to test your skills on the AZ500 security engineer test questions to see whether you need more work before you sit the exam
