I see a design flaw. Dogs can get good grip and walk up that ramp easily because of the way their nails are curved. Not so much coming down. And that surface is fresh and rough. As it softens with use, they will get even less traction coming down.

May help to add small strips onto the ramp to assist with grip coming down!
My cats would love that room. Just swap out a few things and add in cat trees and shelves. They would love that ramp up to the loft area.
