Thanks for watching, and the kind comment! There are VERY few places you can still see that sort of switching still take place... I might go and shoot more of this route; it is a maze of neat switches, track and unique industries.
Originally laid as the Minnesota Central in the 1850’s. Taken over as part of the Milwaukee Road and then spun off to the MN Commercial. There’s only a couple of mills left and a scrapyard. It will not last much longer.
This was truly awesome! I love watching switching! Thank you for sharing this, I can not believe that that fire truck went through the crossing with the lights going. 😡
Good view on real bell vs E Bell. Hear the real bell perfectly and only hear the E Bell as the last car crosses.
This was super neat to see. I can’t imagine this is widely practiced much anymore although it seems as efficient as it always has been.
Love the track layout. Kicking cars in 2020!!!!! Great video!!!

I always love seeing the MC, only railroad in the Twin Cities I have yet to see
You need to get out and shoot them! They serve a lot of neat areas around town, and have a neat roster of power. Thanks for watching!
very nice footage. well done Sir!
Glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for watching! This line won't be around much longer, sadly.
Fantastic coverage
Used to be our job on the sooline union jobs sold out ...
I Never head of this line must be old

I assume there is a lot of no horn zones in minnesota?
Sort of; Minnesota has horn zones all over the place, but Minneapolis and Saint Paul are quiet zones per city ordinances. Thanks for watching!
Awesome
Thank you; glad you enjoyed it!!

Glad you enjoyed it, and me as well... People need to just sit and wait for the train to go past...
And the cars that followed it...
No horn??
Thanks for the comment, and watching! You are correct, the City of Mpls has a no horn ordinance in place, unless its an emergency.
Who said you can't kick cars with a GE?
More video goodness! Keep ‘em coming big boy...
(BTW What was that “virtual dog” sniffing?)
Is MC still serving that area of Minneapolis?
Thanks for the comment, and watching. They still service this to this day, and some details of that are in the description.
Whut up with the dog?
Good question; my understanding is that its meant to try and keep birds away due to all the grain that gets spilled out. Thanks for watching!
