In order to hit more free throws, I would suggest taking off the meter. Also, I hit consistently with Rudy Gay free throw. I'm not one to give advice about 2k, but this works for me.

Can we talk about how the squad and no squad doors in the rec weren’t a bad idea but the execution is god awful because why do me and one of my friends go in the squad door we get a squad of 3 bums on our team and the other team is a pro am team playing 2-3 zone it’s literally impossible to win in that situation this needs to be fixed because it’s literally unfair

When shooting free throws just know the que I always use dirk since 2k13 timing hasn't changed since que for me is I look at the feet as soon as the player is on the toes
I have a 90 layup and 90 close shot on my hybrid defender sf. I mastered the layup timing and Im damn near unstoppable. You can literally scoop lay around big men all day..and when they figure it out, euro them, or hop step...and if you hop step and you have a high close shot...PHEW. Ya'll boys need to tap in and diversify your scoring. When I have a bad shooting game, I go straight to the lane. I haven't dropped less than 20 in any rec game since learning how to switch things up more.
It depends on which spot your defender is hip-riding you on. Like if bruh all the way on your left tryna block just scoop with the right but it's more of a which side is more open type of thing

Use Michael Jordan Free Throw animation it helps you out with low free throw attributtes you hit free throw good with a 65 free throw attributte but you need MJ’s free throw animation
There’s no difference between Silver, Gold and Hall of Fame whistle. If you attack the hoop more and try to finish through contact, you’ll get foul calls most of the time anyway. Hop steps are foul magnets. Bunny badge is crazy good
momentum 100% is a thing, ive had so many rec random matches where we blow out the other team by 20+ maybe even make some quit and then 2nd half everyone trolls, cant hit open, cant make passes, cant dribble two steps without a steal. its like once you start messing up 2k makes it turn into mistake after mistake. i started off a game 7/7 from 3, mostly open but a few good dribble move shots and 2nd half i went 1/11 hitting only a layup. again mostly open but some good shots that were ALL slightly early/late. felt like my green window was just not there.

Tbh no gushy slayer is good for guards smallest guard u should make ( the best guard ) is 5’11 or 6’2 so that you can do the higher layup stuff on people , giant slayer also boosts 3s the same way it does layups but u didn’t hear that from me … the 5’11 pg that can either contact you break your ankles or shoot from the other teams free throw line . I mean I make a nasty build rs . Sfs are good but only at 6’4 . But if ur going small you go way smaller for better giant slayer . Trust me . Layups are good they are better with giant slayer activating on a 6’5 guard or a 6’2 guard or ANYONE

Layup with the meter on, too many animations and they’re actually easy to green. I use finesse in the paint just like this and I be dropping 20 of of a 30 point game just in the paint.

Bro your teammates gotta stop shooting if they miss 3 in a row. Shooting slump is real! And yes, u have to properly time your free throws most times. I have gold free points on my pf and have missed a 95% chance free throw. If u don't time it right, u will miss. Just happens.

Layups are more op than dunking this yr. Hof float game with the right layup package is damn near un blockable. U be good with just 88 layup
