What court order? The people are protesting on technicalities. The same technicalities the Supreme court relied on when they made Tinubu president.
I've never heard anywhere in the world where protests are confined to locations. That is at the discretion of the protesters and is subject to negotiations with authorities.
Protests can happen anywhere..the key word is engagement to be peaceful. Confining protesters to locations is a violation of the constitutional rights and freedom of movement of Nigerians. Violating rights of Nigerians is starting to be Something these judges are used to doing.

The police view is misconceived and smacks of ignorance of law. If there is an alleged failure to obey court order, the person who wants to enforce the court order should file form48 in the court informing the court that a party has disobeyed the court, it is then for the court to make any order of committing the person for contempt of court. Police cannot enforce the court order on their own on the allegation that a person has disobeyed its order

You'll do everything diplomatically, tactically and professionally when it comes to peaceful protester but when it comes to criminals, you won't be able to do anything. Mr. policeman, those in the street are protester, stop bluffing and they don't have a leader, everybody is angry. You better be careful what you say because they'll dump you and fly out of Nigeria before you know it. That is how Ruto called peaceful protester in Kenya, criminal but when he knew the Gen Z were not kidding, he started blabbing

Peaceful protest is one of the fundamental rights of a citizen. Its appalling to note that Nigeria claims to be DEMOCRATIC and INDEPENDENT; yet they infringe on people's right.
