The Mike Danton thing hits close to town for my family here in STL! I was in school with Katie at the time, and my brother's coach (Jimenez is his name, I think) was the FBI agent that arrested Danton. I had to step in and coach a practice as he had to rush out of town. Now we know why! I obviously never saw Katie again. at the time, while she was originally charged as a co-conspirator, had the charges dropped. I hope she'd doing well. She was a really nice girl and just got caught up with a pro athlete who was older than her and was swooned.
The scandal at Maple Leafs Gardens was big news at the time, especially as these two didn't operate in isolation and knowledge of their actions was known by many in the organization probably right up to Harold Ballard (member of the Toronto Scumbag Hall of Fame).
@@AlyssaHope I can at least make a case for that, as I mentioned recently about Vancouver's poor handling of Tanner Pearson's injury, and how management seemingly covered it up, while players like Quinn Hughes expressed their disgust about it.
Neil Sheehy, Dino Ciccarelli, Geoff Courtnall and Scott Stevens 4 man r4pe case, why do you think a star like Stevens was allowed to walk right after? Capitals let him go.
Danton's case is rather tragic to me, rather than experiencing the satisfaction of justice being given. Because to try and bury his own personal life with his own family, and to be led along the wrong path by Frost, who was clearly not fit to be his guardian to begin with, led to Danton making the ill-fated decision of hiring a hitman. His own father really should have been a better one, and maybe back then Danton would not have resorted to such actions as he did. When your own family fails in raising you the right way, there's only one outcome out of it.
I work with kids that are in the court system and often neglected by their parents. Trust me there's a lot of kids that are in vulnerable places like Danton was. It makes a world of difference if they just have support and know that someone cares.

Recording live on location from the inside of a Pepsi can!
It's a relief to me that neither the Lightning nor the Capitals were involved in scandals, and I hope that they never are.
Idk, keeping/ever having Tom Wilson on the team is a pretty big scandal to me.
@@JetFuelSE That's not really a scandal.
I'm agreeing with this and I'm a Pens fan lol.

Or when Ovechkin and Malkin’s agents got into it at a bar and punched each other. I believe it was those two
Great Video
