This isn't mocking religion, this is mocking artists who thank God for all of their success while their music is full of extremely anti religious stuff and they live an anti religious life.
This song isn't really anti religion but rather just shows the hypocrisy behind artists who thank god for their success when they live nonreligious lives.
your the person jimmy hates because you try to understand his shit. i love this band because, even jimmy himself says, you don't need to think about the lyrics. now if you started you sentence with "I think that " than i would understand why you would take the time to post!:)
Im black, but I like this song. In the end, its just lyrics. Its not like we have to let what other people say get to us. All words do is express something, (its the actions that make an impact).
Thank you! I'm an athiest, but it's obviously not insulting any god- just teasing those people who sing about 'sinful' things and then thank him for awards like they're religious saints.
😂 all the philosophers in the comments mainly (5yrs ago) decoding the lyrics as if it isn’t already simplistic and straightforward. I wonder if they’re still fans or if they grew out of their “teenage angst” .
Well, MS fuckin' I just gave me something to look forward to about moving to the middle of fucking nowhere: I can scream the, "HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH" Fuck my life. Q.Q I get to move again and lose my crew... :(
o_o some bitch just heard me listening to this...as i was washing dishes..and filling my water bottles.... i think she called me a gay lord, just made my day xD
that would be amazing if he actually did win an award for something and then went to thank ppl and stuff and then started singing this song!! haha it would be epicc!! :D
@TheNobleBard I was thinking it was either that same thing or when they actually thank god in speeches they have, like interviews when they ask about how they got so famous.
@dmdiamond220 I'm christian, so I might be biased when I say that I doubt it's the last one, but I'm pretty sure the first one is clear enough. the song is more focused on the singer than god anyway. I think this song is all about irony
@sarah18497 well it's poetry, a different kind than the written, but poetry is another type of art, it deserves respect, and looking into poetry and trying to find the meaning the poet intended is one way of respecting it. i know it sounds like im a nerd, which i guess i am, but hey, i like poetry and i respect it (im not saying you hate poetry, im just explaining my view of things).
@dmdiamond220 it all depends on the listener... the saying goes the meaning of the lyrics "...is in the hands of the beholder." well it works here anyways, i suppose with how good jimmy is you could say beauty instead of lyrics. go msi!!!
@Dandramere They're just showing that they don't find it offensive, because most people seem to think that all Christian's pour Holy Water on anything that's not religious. And then there are the Christians who ARE extremely strict, and so other Christians who aren't super strict fight about how they're not super up tight. It's all simple if you think about it. It sums up to one word: Stereotypes.
I love how he sounds like a normal male one second and a deranged chipmunk the next.

The 8 sides of Cheshire I agree, though I also see that it is mocking artists who thank God for the stupidest things.

MSI is the best band cause their songs have so much energy. It makes me hyper, and that's that the best kind of music imo.
This song fucking rules. It ruled when I was 14, it still rules now and will rule when I’m 80

especially all the rappers who mention how they love god in their songs while living very depraved lives.

True true, very true.
Sorry. I understand a lot of their stuff isn't supposed to make sense (like Nirvana's songs) but this one's meaning seemed obvious to me.
i thought as always he was just making fun of himself, but man that's deep
I'm really glad for the lyrics being on screen during the fast rap bc I would have no idea what he way saying other wise

Wow, listening this compared to the AOA live version... Jimmy's voice is AMAZING live. I'd saw my limbs off to see MSI live.
real.
I saw them live around 2006-2007, it was not memorable at all. Keep your limbs, the records will be great forever.
