I think you're trying to talk yourself into liking the statue. On film it appears way over sculpted,messy, not much distinction between his uniform and cape and pumpkin.

I feel ya. I was born in 85 and my parents couldn't afford comics but they sure had cable and my dad ran a movie theater, where lots of hardcore nerds worked. His one assistant manager even had a huge comic book convention in the theater lobby when Judge Dredd came out. He and my dad are the reason I have a complete set of Silver Surfer cards and the complete set of Ghost Rider 2099.

That was back before any of the new editions of the OG trilogy had even come out. It was awesome to be able to see more of that universe.

He's a person that had his mind put in android body with a flaming skull and a chainsaw for a hand. He at one point becomes a Sheriff for Doom 2099.
