@@lpschaf8943 They got alot of hate back then so this song was practically a diss to all the reviewers lol instead of backing down and quitting they decided to start working even harder instead, considering how they literally turned that hate into their name "daft punk" after they got called that in a review and now they are pretty much legends with a permanent spot in music
"Discovery" is an amazing album. It's definitely worth a listen. You can't help but dance. I remember dancing Daft Punk in the club just shoulder to shoulder with people dancing, like one moving organism... Their music does kind of transport you to a different place.
Well, considering Daft Punk were in the music video for 'Stronger', and performed it with him at the award show - it's safe to say he cleared it with them lol
@@sooohaib92 20 so yeah been listening to daft punk since I was like 12 when me and my friends found their music. heard the hits obviously but really got into their other stuff
Great track. There’s a really cool video that I remember from waaaay back when RUclips was just starting to blow up called “Daft Hands” where this dude wrote the lyrics of the songs on his fingers and palms and did a whole choreographed thing showing how this song builds and connects all the lyrics together. Really cool video...I wonder if it’s still out there
The Original 'Daft Hands' was actually 2 young ladies the had the lyrics written on their bodies. Video is called "Daft Bodies' it puts daft hands to utter shame in my book
Yo Ahmad! Check out their live album called Alive 2007. It is staggeringly good. A buddy of mine saw them on that tour and he claims that that set literally "changed his life." It is crazy, crazy good.
Check out the original sample by Edwin Birdsong "Cola Bottle Baby" Fun Fact: There is an anime 'movie' that was made specifically for the album this song is on. The name of the 'movie' is called "Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem". The movie plays in sequence w/ the songs on the album. There is no dialogue in the movie. If you're into anime, you will def. dig it. It got me emotional.
"Technologic" should be on your list for the future. I would almost recommend hearing it along with the "Daft Hands" #OldSchoolMeme like many of the rest of us first hear it with. Multi-level reactions.
Haha I just posted about daft hands and then scrolled down and saw this comment. It was such a cool vid back in the day. But yes Texhnologic is dope af. Also Robot Rock!
Wow, I had heard this song a long time ago and looked it up and found this. Is it suddenly just circulating everywhere. If so, I'm glad and I'm glad this reaction exists.
I was reading a book by Susan Rogers (Prince’s former engineer) and she talks about how digital recording basically let us create our own soundscapes and our own “worlds” not bound by instruments or voices. She cited Daft Punk as a great example because they just sampled WHATEVER and turned it into music.
Man if you like this that much you gotta check out the movie they animated to it called Interstella 5555, it's a whole movie based around this album, it's crazy.
I totally get what you mean with the instruments creating their own world... If you like that kind of thing I think you should listen to 'Motherboard' from their most recent album. It's an instrumental, and man oh man do they bring out the big guns. SO many sounds, you just get lost in the vibes and travel to another world.
Need to watch the video of the 2 girls dancing with boxes on their heads w/ the words written all over their bodies to this song...went Viral a long time ago..Pretty impressive to watch!
One of the formula with daft punk, they throw a bunch of sounds that kinda don’t make sense at first then when you get to the second verse it all makes sense. This song is just one example. Seemingly random words at first. Then complete sentences after. They do the same with sounds too.
They are old school legends but put out an album 3 o 4 years ago with 2 epic tracks you'd love - "Get Lucky" with Pharrell and "Giorgio by Moroder" which is such a groove it is out of control...get totally lost...
You got a new subscriber my guy... I enjoy watching reaction to things I'm a big fan of... first project pat now daft punk...(keep checking out 95-2015 tracks... that's the golden Era in my opinion!)
Glad To See My Guy Reacting To All Genres Of Music 😁😁😁😁❤And Kanye West Featured Them On Stronger Instead of sampling it And YoAhmad Gotta React To Bruno Mars And Anderson Paak Leave The Door Open (Silk Sonic) They Got The World Going Crazy It's Fiyaaaaaaaaah Ahmad Yo Your Pops And Ya Mom Gonna Love It 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I beg you! Please react to the full Interstella 5555 movie! Or at least do all the music videos in order. It's a good thing you didn't do the video for HBFS but you definitely should in the future, but there are three songs that come before this. You already did One More Time which is the first in the lineup, but the next two are Aerodynamic and Digital Love. Watch the videos for these two and then the video for HBFS and continue after that. Then you'll be able to follow the story while also enjoying the music!
U ve to react to "Interstella 5555". Its anime film composed by 14 music videos, 1 for each song from Discovery's album. It's a great story and is even considered indispensable to enjoy the album entirety.
I have a request: Björk "It's Oh So Quiet" (pronounced "byerk" rhymes with "jerk"). Definitely do the music video, not just the song. 🙂 please please 🙂
This song was a big flex from daftpunk when it was released
I grew up watching their videos on MTV. They were soooo out there; but they was groovy as fuuuuck.
What? What did they flex with? Good music? Then I get it.

Wym. Daft punk as a whole was a flex. I have always wanted to cosplay as them

The companion film, Interstella 5555 is also fantastic. It's sort of Daft Punk's homage to Star Blazers if you remember that.
Voyager, HBFS, Cresendolls, One More Time, Short Circuit is FUNKY!
It’s their best album!
Its impossible not to move this song
Fact
Can confirm, the swing is dancing.
Well, considering Daft Punk were in the music video for 'Stronger', and performed it with him at the award show - it's safe to say he cleared it with them lol
Daft Punk is my all time favorite since I was in my 20's! I'm now 47 and they are still my all time favorite!!
53, I thought of them as a "new" band back in the day. Still love them today.
solid music is timeless.
28. Safe to say their music transcends generations

Daft punk did allow him to use the song. They were actually in the video with him too
the incredible thing is that you had the power to pause the song in the middle haha
If you get a chance, Daft Punk made the Discovery album into an anime called Interstella 5555. It's on RUclips

The beginning of Hatder Beter Faster Stronger is the main reason why I love the song
Pre 2010's def jam has so much variety of talent's
You would really like California Love with Tupac and Dr. Dre. It has some of this funky voice box synth stuff in it.
He probably knows it.

"They made it a hot line/ Ye made it a hot song..."

Some peoples "samples" are more like just playing the entire song and singing over it. That should be looked at as unimaginative and hacky.
