Thank you Amira, I just love your work and it's great that you explain that it does not have to be done in a rush. I love your blog Amira.

Lovely chat and presentation Amira! All your quilts are wonderful, especially your son’s. I liked seeing the actual FMQ on your quilts. For me choosing designs is hard; it’s very helpful! Thank you!

Thank you Barbara... yes, choosing a design can be hard and we can spiral down the thoughts for way too long. I learn from lots of previous mistakes. like for an example, choosing a dense quilting design and regretting it cause it took way too long. So, I’ll weigh in some options and just get straight to it. Trying on small pieces always helps.. thanks for your comment, have a lovely day ahead..

Yes definitely it is worth the splurge for Liberty fabric. Especially if you are hand quilting.

I enjoyed watching your quilty tube and all of your projects. I think you should splurge on Liberty fabrics for the back of your beautiful Liberty quilt. I've bought the Quilt bee book from Bonnie and Camille and two books from Lori Holt. In May, I made a pillow cover and a pencil roll, and a lot of cross stitch for fqsstitchmaynia. In June, I want to finish hand quilting a log cabin quilt.

Another Yes vote for the Liberty Print.. thank you for your vote! I love watching FQStitchmania updates from lots of the floss tube, your projects sound fun and handquilting log cabin quilt sounded like my dream with my courthouse Liberty Quilt. Have fun quilting that.. have a happy June!

Hi Amira, I have no idea how you get so much quilting and piecing done when you have a (full on!) full time job and two young children! You put me to shame LOL! In answer to the question you asked about which fabric to back your Liberty quilt, you should so go for the Liberty fabric (if it is affordable). If you use anything else you will always be looking at it and wishing you used the Liberty. I know we don't see the backing fabric much, but for the sake of a few pounds/dollars more per meter, it is so worth it if you plan to keep the quilt.

Lots of help and grace.. My eldest helps a lot now these days too. Quilting is my happy pill though, so I’ll make sure to make the time for it.. Yes, you have a point there - I do think that I’ll keep on wishing if I didn’t get the Liberty Fabric backing.. thank you for your thoughts and comment!
