We're just finishing up with de-schooling my 8 year old and I'm watching different videos to get ideas of what I want to do when we get started with full-on homeschooling! My daughter loves learning through play, but she also likes stories etc, so it's good to see how you do reading etc. I appreciate how your daughter reads and listens to the book at the same time.
I'm not sure what it is, but I find planning videos so relaxing. They are super helpful, but, I don't know, maybe just releases some pent up stress I have. 😅 Loved watching this, and seeing you work out your week. 🙌💕💕
Oh wow I didn't realize they had spelling too !! I am going to look into it. We are loving it it is so simple. I let my daughter write in color pens on her notebook and she loves doing that too. 😍
Now we haven't used their spelling in a few years because my oldest is a natural speller and my youngest is only in K, but we loved it. I am not sure how far it goes but we'll use it again with the second child if he needs it.
You are such an amazing mama! It's obvious how much care and intentionality you put into planning for your homeschool week! We also don't technically need to keep a portfolio of students' work but I still prefer to keep some work--some for the memories, and some to show progress and achievement. :)
Thank you so much! And yes it has been amazing looking back at her 3rd grade work and seeing the progress. She loves reading her old stories as well!!! 😍
This is the way I usually plan too. I love your little notebook for you daughter. I do somewhat the same for my daughter. Silly question, but where do you get your stickers? I can't wait to see your portfolio. We dont have to keep one either for our state, but I love to keep one and have since kindergarten.
My oldest used the same English and science in 4th. We also use the character cards, used Worldy Wise for vocab last year, and read Pax recently. AND we do Fun Fridays. :D You and I like a lot of the same things. :)
I use rod and staff English and spelling too! I love how wholesome and thorough it is. I also use their preschool workbooks and my 2 Littles love it. I wish my daughter was a natural speller 🤪 Thx for the video- glad things smoothed out and you got your groove on!
Yes it is so crazy how she went from such a colorful curriculum to a simple black and white one and loves it lol 😂 and yes I feel so blessed that things have smoothed out.
@@brittanyolga I thought same thing! I was like my little ones are not going to enjoy this at all but they really do! I think it's great for their imagination/creativity. Enjoy your Thursday 😁
Great video! Thanks for sharing 🙂 Love the notebook idea for you daughter, that’s so sweet and special for her - good job mama! Question, can you tell me the seller or link it for the flip book template that your using for the African animals please? I think it would be great for my son & I to use for some preschool projects.
Thank you so much. 😊 and yes I have the link below for teachers pay teachers for you. www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/ANIMAL-REPORT-MAMMALS-INFORMATIONAL-REPORT-RESEARCH-TEMPLATES-3180559
We do Living Art Lessons for Art every other Friday and my daughter does piano for music. Other than that that is it!! We try our best to keep things simple. 😊
I've used 2nd and 3rd grade Rod and Staff English in the past. It's good solid stuff. We've also had good success with the Pathway Readers series as well which is also Amish/Mennonite curriculum. I like the way you plan. It's similar to how I do things except mine is everything times 6 😂.
@@brittanyolga That's when the fun begins 🤣. No really it's going to be cool having everyone along the ride for subjects like history and science. Those are good group subjects.
I would suggest that people research masterbooks and what they stand for. I know people are moving away from tgtb but I wouldnt give masterbooks my money either.

Rod and Staff is the BEST for English! We have used 2-6 now and will finish through 8th if not 10th. You may also like their spelling program.

Thank you for sharing how you plan. Great video. I typically log all the work after it's been completed.
Do you do any other subjects?
