He knew what was up. If her money is going towards the business then she should have access to it whenever she wants. When he said it was to his wife "my one and only" it was suspicious AF.

Unless you are dealing with security matters where there access is limited to need-to-know and permitted access to specific people. ALL phones should be open to the spouse, ESPECIALLY if the phone is part of a business the household funds is going to support.
