I am current reading thru the harry potter series, cos like you i only ever watched the movies. but my most fave recent reads are furia (coming of age set in argentina) and children of blood and bone (magical fantasy set in nigeria). i loved both that i couldn't put it down! waiting for my turn to borrow n children of vengeance and virtue from my library. finally in the mood to read it!

Wowwwww I just checked the books you mentioned and it looks like something I would love. Didn't know there are great Nigerian fantasy novelist out there. Yeah I love Harry Potter but that's a lot of books except I find a public library to borrow 😅. I'm definitely enjoying my reads like I really want to know the minds of these writers cos their imagination is wild.
