I'm from NOLA.. one thing I can say is we are so strong, so resilient. So brave and courageous. It's in us. I've survived hurricanes, floods, burying 2 of my children, covid, almost dying myself, and more than I care to even divulge.. My dad was a doctor at charity hospital. I've seen more horrors than I ever deserved.. it's the New Orleans spirit in each and every one of us from that great city. God has his hand on us. He is with us. WE WILL PREVAIL.

Some of us think funerals are a weird ritual that really isn’t needed. Huge segments of the population die with no fanfare and the world keeps turning.
Funerals cost like $30,000. That’s serious money that could be spent on something better- it’s basically vanity.
Go ahead and have funerals, it’s ok but I think it’s a waste of money.
