Hey everyone. Eugene Fairfield here. So glad you liked my story. I think Dark Somnium did a truly amazing job with the narration and music and effects. Really wonderful. I'm honored to be on the channel.
I just want to add, whoever you got to do Leslie's voice--that was EXACTLY the voice in my head when I wrote it. Pass along my thanks. All the voices were great, really, but its a rare treat to hear something that sounds like it was just lifted out of my own brain.
@@pinkalien73 I'm not exactly sure. My stories grow out of little seeds. I think perhaps I started thinking about possessed objects. Possessed books are overdone, but a possessed instrument had potential. Then when I hit on the idea of vacuum tubes holding a piece of "the void" in them, and thus an old amplifier being the key, it started to come together. From there the story just grows organically, each character finding its place and inspiring a foil, each plot twist pointing a direction.

When I open my phone to search for a creepypasta, this is exactly what I have in mind. The story is only half of it, your narration and music make it such a perfect experience that it's hard to listen to any other channels. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of great narrators out there, but you are by far the absolute best!
I second this. It's often upset me when one of his vids auto played into another narrator like lighthouse horror or radiotts. The latter isn't too bad but neither compare.
@@joey19th I love lighthouse. I’ve not heard of the last one you mentioned but I’m gonna check him out since you put him into a category with Somnium and Lighthouse who are by far the 2 very best ones lol

i like how Hastur in this story is still associated with the arts, just different ones, than original theatre thing. great story and great narration united, that was a good 50 minutes. guitar solo part was just stunning. thank you for your work!
This was beautifully done. Not only did it feel like a logical and spiritual continuation of the original stories, the narration and soundtrack were just spot on. Thank you, this made my day.
Love your channel! I'll always be patient for your content because it is ALWAYS top tier. I've come to appreciate you even more since I've been doing some voice over and realized how difficult it is to make these.

Aw maaaan the part where he goes onstage as The King in Yellow was so good- the yellow scarf just sitting there, and oooh the music added in the back was perfect for it
This story really resonated within my soul, so much talent both on the author's part and ofc on our precious somnium. Thank you for doing what you're doing.
You have no idea just how intraneced I got with this story.. your story narrations are absolutely worth the wait.. take the time you need and keep them coming..
Probably one of my top favorites out of all of your stories now, I love everything you narrate and I can't wait to hear more! Aim for some more twisted, lovecraftian stories like this please, I'm obsessed
This is one of the best stories I've heard in a long time, from the writing to the narration, it all comes together in a perfect blend. The concept of a lovecraftian entity taking the form of an instrument is also such a cool concept
I've been listening to a few of the classic creepypasta narrators for years so I've sort of found the kind of narration I enjoy, I'll gladly add this channel to the lineup

Glad you’re back once again with a brand new story for all of us, TDS! Definitely glad to have found you back when you were still forging your own path as a creepypasta narrator as I’ve been enjoying seeing you improve your skills with each and every story. 😊

Simply put. One of the best stories you have ever narrated. Simply extravagant quality and amazing workmanship both the story and your dedication to the art form of reading it aloud. Thank you so much for that pleasure of enjoyment.
Take your time with the stories. Honestly I go back through the videos you have posted and listen to stories again and again. You don't just narate well but also have a knack for finding interesting and good stories. Your channel is the best horror narration channel there is, period. The sound effects, music, different narators and bringing a story to life is truly special. I love these hour long stories, they're perfect to listen to in bed then drift off. Thank you for being you mate.

This channel has become such a comfort space for me and I never thought there would be a time where I'd be repeating audio stories this often but there's something about you, the level of production, your sound and track quality that just make the experience so addicting and mesmerising. You truly are so skilled, not just talented. Theres always alot of work put into these and even when I'm stressed with uni, I look forward to listening to your narrations. Keep it up!

The part where he starts free strumming the music is so hypnotic, yet chilling in a way. I absolutely adore it. Is there anyone who has found what that part of the music is called? I work at a gas station at the end of town and I need something keep my focus on. -P.S. @DarkSomnium is the best creepypasta / scary stories from the internet narrator on RUclips. Please keep up the good work, you are amazing with your work.
You're genuinely one of my favorite channels on this platform. Not just my favorite creepypasta channel, but one of my all-time favorites ever. You pour so much hard work into every video. Your music inspires me to work even harder on my own, and the performances in these stories are mind blowing. This is way more than entertainment. I've watched your channel grow to what its become today and I cannot wait to see where you take it. Thanks for everything
SOOO excited about your upcoming projects!! Never fear, your YT fam is still here & not going anywhere, we're just grateful you are still willing to provide content.

You're doing great man. The thing I love about your channel specifically is the background music, the sound effects, and the voices from story to story. Keep it up! 👍
I am such a fan on how you tell your stories when i first found your channel i was instanly hooked on how you tell your stories with music. Please keep giving us amazing content. Thank you! I came back for the king in yellow amazing
Take all the time you need I absolutely adore all the effort you put into your videos instead of mass producing them you create soundtracks and sound effects as well as using music that really fits the mood instead of just using copyright free music
I always enjoy your narration of stories that are of the existential dread / cosmic horror genre and would definitely love to hear more. I know your channel has quite a few but they are definitely easy to binge listen to, would absolutely love to hear some of the best H.P. Lovecraft tales like Dagon or the Temple with the background ambiance / music you add to your videos. Anything with a Silent Hill or Black Mountain Side vibe is great as well, that deep psychological horror that focuses on isolation in a place inhabited by ancient gods and the interactions of the people being influenced by them while wondering if it is real or if they are going insane. IDK it's like freaking candy lol but thanks for all the videos, scratches a very hard to itch spot just right.
My utter joy every time I see your videos in my feed is amazing. Especially after I have watched the most recent video. I will always find myself scrolling as far back as I can to find one I haven’t watched which is incredibly hard because I feel like I have watched them all
This was really good. I didn't expect Hastur as a guitar when I read the title. The use of music and sound was perfect for a story so based around the use of music as a means of destroying the world. I do wish we had gotten more interaction between Hastur and our protagonist, but I suppose we got everything we needed.
this story is funny to me because hastur is nowhere near the most powerfull force in lovecraft mythos, hell, he isn't even an outer god, and while leagues beyond anything we can imagine, he's just a little alien guy compared to supreme omnipotent beings like yog-sothoth and even the outer gods are nothing compared to azathoth
This story was so so good. Thank you for the work you do, I love listening to your channel while I do things I otherwise don’t enjoy. This made cleaning up after my kids bearable today.
I'm guessing the reason Hastur broke free during the concert and not earlier at the pawn shop was because the volume was set too high? It's not mentioned in the story what the amplifier was set to later, but that'd make sense. Anyway, great narration. Loved the guitar you had going with it.
As an enourmous Lovecraft fan, this story is a true masterpiece. I put it right there next to Call of Cthulu & At the Mountains of Maddness. Hastur was truly given justice in this one
I love that you have been working so much and being great with all of the things that you do. I’m super exited for all of it. I’ve been a great fan of the channel for a few years and I’m in love with all of this! Keep up the work man!
Amazing story. You without a doubt have the best production value of you and the other two In the top 3 narrators. Mrcreepypasta, lighthouse horror and you, are so amazing in your own rights, but nobody uses music and sfx like you do. Love every story you tell, and I hope there’s a part 2 to this story.
I just spent some long months unsatisfied with my usual sources of scary stories, until I found this one video! My first thought once I finished listening was: “Who the f wrote that?!”. Out of pure amazement (glad to realize the author’s name is right on the screen 😆). But not only that, its overall production is A+. I deeply respect the good acting (Leslie’s voice actress made it easier to visualize the character’s big fearful eyes not only as if she was real, but right in front of me, for example). The sounds chosen for those specifically dark and powerful guitar performances did make my gut twist, as if I was actually witnessing something terrible that shouldn’t be in any mortal’s hands. Just super cool stuff! Now I am pretty much looking forward to exploring this whole channel! Thank you Hastur 🤙🏼
Take as much time as you need D.S. you put out content with quality that I'm sure is very time consuming to edit . Thank you for what you do and all the help on the sleepless nights .

10/10
When I open my phone to search for a creepypasta, this is exactly what I have in mind. The story is only half of it, your narration and music make it such a perfect experience that it's hard to listen to any other channels. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of great narrators out there, but you are by far the absolute best!
You are easily the highest quality creepypasta narrator on the platform. I do look forward to when you post more regularly! :]
@@shyliet3851 radio tts is just short for text to speech. It's a page where these stories are told by a bot. I like the sound but most dont
@@joey19th DS, Lighthouse, and Horror babble are the trifecta of RUclips horror. Chass is also really good if you like tts
ALSO AT 40:45, i NEED the full length song of that tune the protagonist played. It sounds so beautiful and awesome!
Agreed
Same, that part was fantastic
No ones has the answer for that part of the story huh?
please update me if you figured out the song!
Replying so i can get the song if we get a full version!
Yay! A new video from Ronnie! And it’s a long one! I’ve been feeling down lately, I’m thankful for such a long story from my favorite narrator
hey Luciel! im sorry to hear you have been feeling down, are there any specific types of stories you like? i could try to find one to narrate for you :)
@@Darksomnium This is the coolest response..like absolutely amazing❤️.
@@Darksomnium Ah, psychological and body horror and also forest creature stuff haha, but I’ll listen to anything you make cause I love your narration and sound design. Thank you tho! You’re very sweet
@@Darksomnium well if your goal is to make ourselves sh't our pants (ahah kidding) I suggest you try to find some sirens stories, mermaids, with thalasophobia, fear of big dark blue water etc, that would personally shake me to my core !
I really missed animating kid's series while listening to unimaginable horrors narrated by you. Your voice and sound design is so good it's always worth the wait
wait your an animator?
@@Thorbrine I am! You gotta offset all the high pitch voices and colorful backgrounds with something, else you'd end up loosing your mind
I’m super excited for the audio book- thanks for taking time to post and also work on bigger projects so we can listen to them :)
And this is now officially my favorite creepypasta of all time.
Just passed an extremely important test and this is the perfect way to wind down after a week of studies. Thanks for all you do man!
Great job!
@@Darksomnium tysm!!
yeah same here dude
@@justonepilot1018 wonder if we took the same thing 🤔
Was your teacher playing a black guitar?
I sometimes find it difficult to focus, to be still and do something, this like that even music irritates me but today I've found it so easy to stay tuned in and finish my work while listening to you and RomNex. Thank you so much for all your high-quality videos and beautiful music.
“Fictional entity created by HP Lovecraft”
Robert W. Chambers: “am I a joke to you?”
Man, I love it when you compose pieces for your stories. Instant chills.
i like how Hastur in this story is still associated with the arts, just different ones, than original theatre thing. great story and great narration united, that was a good 50 minutes. guitar solo part was just stunning. thank you for your work!
This was beautifully done. Not only did it feel like a logical and spiritual continuation of the original stories, the narration and soundtrack were just spot on. Thank you, this made my day.
thank you :)
Love your channel! I'll always be patient for your content because it is ALWAYS top tier. I've come to appreciate you even more since I've been doing some voice over and realized how difficult it is to make these.
ty so much! im so glad you like it. do you have any of your stuff on your channel? :D
i really love this community for how patient we all are. its nice to know that basically everyone else values these videos and supporting you no matter how long they take as much as i do.
I have become obsessed with this channel, you have such an incredible talent for not just narrating but bringing this stories to life. Take all the time you need to do all the amazing stuff you do. I will absolutely be checking out the Coyote when it's up and super excited for this 5 hour story!
I work 12 hour night shifts and hearing your stories throughout the night has helped so much ☺️ I just found you as well and catching up on every story had just been amazing ! Thank you Dark Somnium 😘
I've missed you man
sorry to keep you waiting, i hope you have a good day at work blake :D
Oh that guitar solo opening act was too good. I felt hypnotized
This gonna be my bedtime story tonight. Nothing like a good creepy story through the headphones to help you drift off to sleep
Remember keep the volume to 2
Aw maaaan the part where he goes onstage as The King in Yellow was so good- the yellow scarf just sitting there, and oooh the music added in the back was perfect for it
This story really resonated within my soul, so much talent both on the author's part and ofc on our precious somnium. Thank you for doing what you're doing.
You have no idea just how intraneced I got with this story.. your story narrations are absolutely worth the wait.. take the time you need and keep them coming..
Really missed you man hope life and everything is going well. Can’t wait for the audio book n the 5 hour story you don’t disappoint
Probably one of my top favorites out of all of your stories now, I love everything you narrate and I can't wait to hear more! Aim for some more twisted, lovecraftian stories like this please, I'm obsessed
I am so glad that we will be able to recieve our mandatory dose of Dark Somnium.
Congrats on finishing the huge project!
Can't wait to hear it.
tyty :)
The guitar solo easing it's way in was a fantastic touch, really brought the story to life for me. I almost wish there was more of it.
ANOTHER GREAT ONE! Just wanted to say thank you for making these, listening really takes my mind off of the things I stress about.
Ronnie, can I just say that the fact you make your own music and rose to this kinda challenge? Kick ass man. Stunning work as always.
This is one of the best stories I've heard in a long time, from the writing to the narration, it all comes together in a perfect blend. The concept of a lovecraftian entity taking the form of an instrument is also such a cool concept
This was brilliant. I’ve seen such an improvement in your sound design over the years. And your narration skills have grown so much. Well done, sir.
I've been listening to a few of the classic creepypasta narrators for years so I've sort of found the kind of narration I enjoy, I'll gladly add this channel to the lineup
Y'all please don't apologize for anything! Do what you gotta do to do what you love! You're all amazing storytellers!
Hey, I'm just glad to know that you're still above ground and kickin!
I paused this video to send a comment and just let ya know that regardless of whatever recording or rendering time it takes to make videos, we all enjoy your content.
Personally for me I like listening to your narrations before bed.
My constant nightmares can't get the jump on me as long as I listen to some spooky tales told by the sweet serenading sound of your voice.
You have always been a big help for me getting some restful sleep in the last 2 years since I found your channel, and I can't wait to see what ya got coming up next!
Thank you DarkSomnium! 💜
Som, take your time with any and all of your uploads. They are more then worth the wait, plus it’s nice to revisit some of your more epic stories and catch up with the rest of the Feel/Creepy community.
I stumbled upon this site by accident and I’m glad I did! Totally hooked! Enjoy the uniqueness and background effects. Keep the the original work!
You *stumbled* upon RUclips? How is that even possible lmao.
I don’t really donate much but I really love your content and I’d like to support you. Keep up the great work and take all the time you need. Quality over quantity is always better.
thank you so much
Glad you’re back once again with a brand new story for all of us, TDS! Definitely glad to have found you back when you were still forging your own path as a creepypasta narrator as I’ve been enjoying seeing you improve your skills with each and every story. 😊
Man i love how your story telling has gone good to the peak of it. Keep it up. I’ve been listening to your stories for quite some time and im loving it specially at work
Thank you:)
Glad to see you back, your one of the four story channels I fall asleep to and I love the immersion you bring to a stoy. Thanks for narrating :)
Nice pfp
Been a subscriber since 10k subs, it’s crazy to see how much the quality of your videos has improved over the years, watched every video as they’ve come out since day 1 and it just keeps getting better. You’ve been a huge inspiration to me, I truly can’t thank you enough 🙏☝️
I’ve missed your uploads but I know that the wait is worth it. Thank you for all of the work you do!
I appreciate that!
That was FANTASTIC!! The sounds during the narration made everything more real
This is really talented writing! I just wanted to say, I'm appreciating the details, themes, references, A+
take all the time you need! Keep it up!
My first video of yours was the Left, Right game and I have been a fan every since, the collaboration of talent is breathtaking. I sincerely wish you the best and anxiously await for more.
Than you so much :)
All respect for the audio quality of your uploads. Not many care about that, but you really put the extra in this. Thank you.
Way better than I was expecting, I usually don’t like apocalypse stories, but this was unique and kept me gripped.
I've been listening to your videos for the past year at my work and my favourite one has to be "The voice in the radio" I am leaving jobs one switching to full time employment where I won't be able to listen to music and your amazing stories, thank you for the past year Somnium, you are a great storyteller.
You're doing great man. The thing I love about your channel specifically is the background music, the sound effects, and the voices from story to story. Keep it up! 👍
I love the stories, the mood, and the voice acting
Great to listen on the background while I study/draw
I am such a fan on how you tell your stories when i first found your channel i was instanly hooked on how you tell your stories with music. Please keep giving us amazing content. Thank you! I came back for the king in yellow amazing
Thank you so much!
Sounds like you've been working hard friend and we all truly appreciate it (: I can't wait to listen to the new stuff
I will always find myself scrolling as far back as I can to find one I haven’t watched which is incredibly hard because I feel like I have watched them all
A five hour story will be sensational my friend, can’t wait for the new projects
This was really good. I didn't expect Hastur as a guitar when I read the title. The use of music and sound was perfect for a story so based around the use of music as a means of destroying the world. I do wish we had gotten more interaction between Hastur and our protagonist, but I suppose we got everything we needed.
This is worth the wait.
Woo boy… I feel into a google hole. Cthulhu mythos… everything falls in… even the yellow scarf. This was excellent
this story is funny to me because hastur is nowhere near the most powerfull force in lovecraft mythos, hell, he isn't even an outer god, and while leagues beyond anything we can imagine, he's just a little alien guy compared to supreme omnipotent beings like yog-sothoth and even the outer gods are nothing compared to azathoth
The wait is worth it every single time
I love that you have been working so much and being great with all of the things that you do. I’m super exited for all of it. I’ve been a great fan of the channel for a few years and I’m in love with all of this! Keep up the work man!
This story was great. Seriously great! And as always, you did a great job on the narration!
Holy shit! This is amazing! Whoever wrote this story is a genius and you did it complete justice with the narration!
Real proud of you for getting those stories done, brother. Respect✨💯🙌🏾
As everyone else has also said, the guitar sound effects, the crackling amp and the feedback, absolutely perfect
Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it :)
😊👍🏼
this is actually such a original amazing story one of the most entertaining i’ve ever heard
Take as much time as you need D.S. you put out content with quality that I'm sure is very time consuming to edit . Thank you for what you do and all the help on the sleepless nights .
Man, you are something different. I got into this type of content while listening to you at work and ever since your uploads have become a regular search of mine on youtube. I can't wait to get to listen to your next upload and please take your time as no one I've seen makes content as well as you. A true master at your craft. Thank you and I wish you the best!
I do absolutely love this channel, take all the time required, truly an amazing channel and amazing videos, love your work, honestly the only story teller on RUclips I can listen to
Thank you so much 😀
Take all the time you need man,i can understand it takes time to make these stories, especially 1-10 hour long ones, but remember we will always appreciate your work, and that’s all that matters
This was a fabulous story! Anything inspired by rock n' roll and Lovecraft is OK by me, and both you and Eugene did a great job, here. Good work, Ronnie!
You are quite the talent. Love the stories, the way u narrate them and your music n sound effects. Looking forward to these big projects you have coming. Thanks for the hard work
Awesome is the only word that comes to mind! Awesome story! Awesome narration! Awesome music! Ohh! Another word: Perfection! Thank you so much!!
thank you im so glad you liked it :)
