To own an SL-10 or SL-7 is commonplace, to own both of these turntables isn't out of the ordinary - I owned both tables up until a week before writing this post. To own all three of the Technics linear tracking pioneer turntables and to see all of them in one video is UNHEARD OF!! Remember even though linear tracking was about long before these tables came out it was sidelined to a niche tech market. These tables in the early 1980s kicked in the tidal wave of 80s linear trackers from copycat manufacturers but not even Technics themselves could match the build and sound quality from these three turntables!
I just got my SL-10 back after it stopped working. It was in a box for about 15 years. I found someone to fix it and it's back in action, original cartridge and all. I bought it in Europe over 30 years ago and am happy to have it back.
Clay Mation, it’s either the sensor that trigger the tone arm motor or the tone arm motor went out all together. I am using a SL-J1 at the moment, not as good as the SL-7 but still performs reasonably well.
@@olaniyi570 Is that right? Care to share the ways in which they constructed similarly? And since you know that much, I guess you must know the differences between their construction too. Would love to hear all about them.

Sony ps-fl99 is better.
I have not seen many SL-15's in chocolate color. All are very nice.
SL 15 on my want list
Sorry, I had to change the music on youtube :-((
the sl 7 is a wonderful turntable, the Sl 10 is better with the 310MC System and the Sl 15 is the best and very rar
What makes the 15 better? And is it only the cartridge that makes the 10 better than the 7?

I miss my SL-7, if only I can get the tone arm to track
@@hwccheng Why won't your tone arm track?

cual seria el mejor a tu criterio??
Johann Pachelbel: Canon in D ;-)
Thanks! ;)
All right? Could you tell me which model of this ortofon?
BUT can it play Doom? Err.... Hm..sorry... Jack White's Lazaretto?
Which sounds better - the 10 or the 15? I've two 10s and have had two 7s - I have chosen to keep the 10s for superior sound.
i think it would be difficult to tell a 10 and 15 apart in terms of sound. They are constructed very similarly.
