EARTH shaker? earthquakes? hammer? also possibly earthshakers having a larger range as a base for the archetype, such as 'inverse reapers' or a 2 by 3 range with them in the middle would give them more of a niche and options
yeah, having her attack the ground is my desired fix for her s3. yes it does cut her potential dps on numbers, but it would greatly increase her in practice dps of 0 when enemies walk around her range. plus it would improve her bonking

Pepe Skill 3 should always hit the tile in front of her regardless of if she has a target, it'd massively help her usage by letting her maintain her damage on enemies out of range. The archetype is called "Earthshaker", so let them live up to their name.
You may consider just putting out a short community post during the banner with a little text snippet TLDR or a screenshot if you still want to get something out while units are live for ppl to mull over, but I think many of us watch not for pull advice, but because your analysis is just top notch 👍

As much as Pepe isn't all that relevant, she's been a tremendous amount of fun to use over the past half year since her debut on CN just bonking fools left and right. That's mainly down to her SFX - the SFX artists for her did a fantastic job as it sounds like she's smashing marble and stone; that and landing her skills feel so nice when they work properly. I still wouldn't recommend her, but I don't regret getting her on CN and again for Global's anniversary..
Yeah, she isn't the greatest but man, watching her smack enemy into nothingness is really satisfying. She's currently my staple pick in IS4 just because I like watching her smacking the boss with her S3 and her DPH is so high enemy's DEF is merely a suggestion for her.
I don’t like that she fails to capture any Egyptian aesthetic. Her voice is great tho. Just wanted something like naruntuya or even heavier style. But she’s not aimed at me. Pepe is like yu but I’m gay so
There is an NPC in the story named Medjehtiqedti that I suspect might've been the first pass at Pepe's design, I wouldve vastly preferred her to be the limited design over Goldenglow 2 to be honest

Good point on S3-Stainless combo not being that good if you're just using her splash for damage. Maybe this is why they release Earthshaker module with CNY release because Yu's teleport can likely lead to some good fun with Pepe when you can always force the big primary target into her S3 range if she's just behind Yu if you're not using the Firewall-Global damage combo. But very likely as you point out, she is likely going to be pushed to be more of an RA unit where the mode is much better for her and fit her nature. Just like Eunectes, when she gets a dedicated RA module, she's certainly going to be an amazing unit to have especially when you're starting out a new campaign and need someone who can reliably whack for resources and kill hordes. Even a decent chunk of the stat stick bosses are made stunable. Getting her first is one of the reason I have my current run on pause so I can play it with her.
love the analysis as always! i dont mind if the video analysis of the ops arent posted during the first few days of the ops release, even it being posted while their banners still up are still great for those who want tl understand the operators deeply for better gameplay usage
As you've said multiple times, we live in a post-wisadel, (post-logos) and post-ulpianus era, so we won't be using any analysis as pulling advice unless we get another wisadel level op that we should be informed about. So don't stress about the release schedule. Having a hindsight about operators we've pulled is useful to know which skill is their actual best and how relevant their (future) modules are. And if we skipped an operator - so be it, your analysis may help to decide whether to pull for them or purchase them in the future. Thanks for everything ❤

Thanks a lot for the video! I always learn something from your content, ngl I'm quite excited for that post-module combo with Stainless to guarantee 3 targets. I have been using her a lot since I got her and she is a lot of fun, plus I just generally like the concept of skills that get stronger over time so S2 and S3 feel very satisfying on that regard. Her lack of range is definitely her one struggle I really notice tho, and that's why, to my initial surprise, I have been using S2 quite more than S3. The damage is solid and the extra range feels good. She is definitely quite a flawed character (at least compared to some of the abominations we have gotten lately that increased the bar way too high on what makes a character great) but in terms of fun I'm loving her... she is also a massive cutie so not building her was never an option haha.
Funnily it make use of her both talent the most. Even 1 sp from killing 1 mob can fasten the skill decently, and her s1 also lacking atk buff being only damage scale so the buff increase is not as diluted. Well mainly want to use her to buff for chong and zuo le, and coping for her module for guard buff being active in squad later.
I kinda wish Pepe's S2 has more hits like 3 hits so she just drops 3 hammers on enemies in range randomly (like a continuous mini quake happening with the trait)
I wanted Narantuya, but up to 43 pulls nothing, after another 40 pulls, 2 Narantuya and 1 Fiametta showed up, so I'm happy (I wanted Narantuya for Mumu)

S1M1, S3M3, no regrets. BONK. Went M6 on Narantuya though. I wasn’t even planning on using her but I *really* like her EN voice and loopshooters are cool.
I wanted Narantuya more, but Pepe decided to crash my dreams of getting Narantuya, bc I want to get Nimph I wont fully invest on this banner... Narantuyas archetype looks so fancy and her S1 is a nice AFK skill (I really like AFK skills.) Pepe needs a module to extend her hit range (similar to reapers like others say) and maybe also make her AoE stronger e.g instead of 50% like 75% damage would be good. But either way I got Pepe S3 to M3 because it looked fun to use.

Everyone missing the most important reason to get and use her. She's easily in the top 5 cutest operators of all time. The game isn't hard enough that you need perfect characters with broken kits. Pepe will work in 95% of the game and make your heart go doki doki while doing it. Do you really need more?

You know what like about your guides as a whole you flat out said the OPs are not a requirement just makes things easier for you double so for the broken ops like Wisdel. Which as a whole I like about arknights you don't have to get the most broken op just to play the game, and beat all of it's content as well.

Just saying this again before Narantuya review comes Her S2 is used for when you want to actually make use of Narantuya's large range, or when you need DPH over DPS, or when you need to take the AoE and CC to more than just her position. Personally, I use it more often than the other skills
I don't even know how you would save her with a 2nd module. Something to give her a longer range of effect? Maybe a delta mod with some big fundamental changes
Easy but boring answer: Bagpipe her. Have her Guard buff trigger from being in party instead of on deployment, and she'll find some use in buffing the other, more broken guards while providing stun utility in some CC or another.

The more I read on Pepe, the more I think her kit is confused, like the devs had no clear intention with it. They really couldn't decide for consistent laneholding, or performative boss killing, so they middled out between the two, with talents and range that don't really help her cause.
Very glass cannon operator. I used her in this event every map. When her s3 lands its stun and she can take down a crowd shes at her best. Cannot block modern bosses and elites without dying unless shes under absurdly high HpS like Eyja2. Shes most similar to Hoederer if I had to compare her to anyone, and comes with similar issues, but Hoederer is probably better for blocking one target than she is. I still think she's worth it for the high damage per hit since she can bypass almost all defense in the game rn
Its interesting how developers think when they put some champs into limited quarters. Like hell i want Rosmontis or Muelsyse (she's my waifu so i gacha her) because they fckng annihilate things or making your life much easier.

i dont mind balanced/average operators, but as a limited the ops should do more things/unique stuff compare to those powerful non-limited ops, i love her character design but she is definitely very very mid, even gavial is just better overall
Pepe is your standard lane holder (which is good). But I can't fathom why she had to be the limited one considering how past limited operators are either broken or excels at their own niche 🤷
People don't realize how good she is for reclamation algorithm hunts. Especially the one with the underground beast that burrows. I mean she can literally stun lock it to death and on top of that she can capture it with her melee with the buff thing for sargonians. Idk I just find her really satisfying to use and effective as well. Most reviews seems to think she's underwhelming but I don't share that opinion.
Pepe genuinely feels so random, like her talents don't synergies with her skills at all. She has 2/3 skills with strange mechanics that feel like they were added, just cause. Genuinely, why not make all her skills use attack multipliers instead of making them attack +%? Why is her SP talent, a downgrade from the great SP talents from Lin, Exalt, and Zuo Le, why did skill 2 get range extension instead of skill 3? She just feels like a last minute addition in every possible way

Pepe is your standard lane holder (which is good). But I can't fathom why she had to be the limited one considering how past limited operators are either broken or excels at their own niche 🤷

People don't realize how good she is for reclamation algorithm hunts. Especially the one with the underground beast that burrows. I mean she can literally stun lock it to death and on top of that she can capture it with her melee with the buff thing for sargonians.
Idk I just find her really satisfying to use and effective as well. Most reviews seems to think she's underwhelming but I don't share that opinion.
Pepe genuinely feels so random, like her talents don't synergies with her skills at all. She has 2/3 skills with strange mechanics that feel like they were added, just cause.
Genuinely, why not make all her skills use attack multipliers instead of making them attack +%?
Why is her SP talent, a downgrade from the great SP talents from Lin, Exalt, and Zuo Le, why did skill 2 get range extension instead of skill 3?
She just feels like a last minute addition in every possible way
