I've been emotional before watching this video, watching it even made me cry (which isn't often) and I honestly identify with Yoongi so much that 1) his reactions had me almost breaking down and 2) even though I was almost calm while reading the comments, this quote made me start crying again 😐 BTS literally makes me feel so much, more than I've felt in probably the last 10 years. I can't explain or even comprehend it myself... it's not like the music I used to listen to to block out my emotions or to shout out my emotions. Its more like I finally have someone speaking what I didn't want or have the courage to say... To others or myself. It's like being brutally honest with yourself in a loving way and idk how to deal with that tbh... But I'm so glad I have them to string me along in their path. I couldn't be more thankful for them as I am now! 💜

I still remember that night when BTS was announced as the Artist of The Year. This award not only meant a lot for them but also artists from a small company or anyone who didn't have any background and support but still working hard for their dream. This winning really proves to a lot of people out there. Inspiring!

I think it's because many people feel that they are indeed "the artist" of this year, 2016. They worked so hard since their debut to be there where they are nowadays and to stand on that MAMA stage as winners of a daesang. Nobody can argue with it and nobody can discredit how artistic and talented they are. Their personalities are also great and they are someone who you can easily love. They clearly deserve the love they get from people (not only from fans).:)

I wasn't able to watch this part live. I had a doctor appointment and had to leave. I watched a little with my bluetooth ear buds in but they'd already taken me back to the exam room and I had disconnected them. Before the doc came in, I saw a tweet that said they won. Me too!!! I became interested in finding out who is Jin after seeing Kim NamGil mentioning him few times. And at the very same time my husband randomly says let's try some kpop (we just got our new car and have a Spotify app in there), it was Permission to dance that surprised us. And then my universe. To be honest I love the old Coldplay songs since Yellow, and I didn't update myself much because busy making ends meet., I was shocked that coldplay actually collab with bts. And there, I got more serious into finding out. I extended my studies beyond Jin. So I find out what kind of group is BTS. Through the stories of their hardships, to their successes, I truly admire their spirit. Then astronaut was released. Jin enlisted at the moment I truly fell in love what I have just discover. Ever since Jin enlistment.... I slowly calling myself a newborn army.

2016 was the year I discovered BTS (and K-pop in general)... and fell down the rabbit hole right away. The first album I bought was WINGS and the first award show I watched was MMA where they won their first daesang. From then till now, I've been a loyal ARMY. I've seen their journey and will always be proud of where they are now.

This awards is one of the prove that they made it and also as a token of appreciation for their hard works throughout the years. Now they finally got big. I don't ask many things. Idk. Out of all the awards they received their first daesangs from MMA and MAMA in 2016 was the most memorable and most precious ones for me. They dreamt and worked hard for it. A lot of people mocked them, calls them nugu group but they stood up and proved us that they they are worth stanning for and they deserved that awards. Their emotions says it all that hey finally their hard work got recognition that no amount of media play will bring them down. I always come back here and still crying coz that the memories happened before they received daesang keeps flashing back to my mind. I really want to hug them 🥺 And now. Wow. I know right, they write lyrics, compose and produce, sing and dance in live performances. When they debuted many people said that they can't be success, everybody underestimate them. They came from a small company that didn't have a lot of money, they weren't supported by many people in the industry, they were looked down upon. People made fun of them, they didn't take them seriously. It wasn't easy for them to get to where they are today, they had to work twice as hard.

I think it's because many people feel that they are indeed "the artist" of this year, 2016. They worked so hard since their debut to be there where they are nowadays and to stand on that MAMA stage as winners of a daesang. Nobody can argue with it and nobody can discredit how artistic and talented they are. Their personalities are also great and they are someone who you can easily love. They clearly deserve the love they get from people (not only from fans).:)
They started as nobodies who were called kpop dirt, a group of people who will have no success. They turned to somebodies, a group of people who are very talented and heartwarming personalities. They started with so much haters. Then they won TWO awards in MAMA

i still remember the day i watched MAMA 2016, when BTS won this daesang i was like "whaT? why BTS? I wasn't able to watch this part live. I had a doctor appointment and had to leave. I watched a little with my bluetooth ear buds in but they'd already taken me back to the exam room and I had disconnected them. Before the doc came in, I saw a tweet that said they won. I didn't believe it at first. When I saw tons of tweets within seconds, I knew it was real. I was bouncing in my seat, crying and trying my best not to make noise. Me too!!! I became interested in finding out who is Jin after seeing Kim NamGil mentioning him few times. And at the very same time my husband randomly says let's try some kpop (we just got our new car and have a Spotify app in there), it was Permission to dance that surprised us. And then my universe. To be honest I love the old Coldplay songs since Yellow, and I didn't update myself much because busy making ends meet., I was shocked that coldplay actually collab with bts. And there, I got more serious into finding out. I extended my studies beyond Jin. So I find out what kind of group is BTS. Through the stories of their hardships, to their successes, I truly admire their spirit. Then astronaut was released. Jin enlisted at the moment I truly fell in love what I have just discover. Ever since Jin enlistment.... I slowly calling myself a newborn army.

I'm starting to become interested. So I search about them on Google. Sadly at that time there's not much info about them. So I'm pretty sad. But then, after going from one page to another page, I found a discussion going on this one website. I don't remember the name. But what they're saying is that "BTS is going to be big one day" and I agree with that. Basically that's what happen.

What sets bts apart from other artists is the cohesion between artist and company. There is such a good relationship between company and artist. That's what sets them apart and obviously there's something special abt the artist themselves.
Rituparna Boro i’ve been wanting to say this for too long. Other groups are talented too but their company treats them like shit. Brs and bighit rise together to make quality music. Among other factors are they are very close to each other, each have their own talent, strong personality.

Idk. Out of all the awards they received their first daesangs from MMA and MAMA in 2016 was the most memorable and most precious ones for me. They dreamt and worked hard for it. A lot of people mocked them, calls them nugu group but they stood up and proved us that they they are worth stanning for and they deserved that awards. Their emotions says it all that hey finally their hard work got recognition that no amount of media play will bring them down.
I always come back here and still crying coz that the memories happened before they received daesang keeps flashing back to my mind. I really want to hug them 🥺
And now. Wow. They are now the biggest group in the world, how proud are we ARMYS? Receiving awards and recognitions from left to right and we couldn't keep up with everything bcoz everyday they always break records. Bighit Ent from nearing bankruptcy before to buy companies under their roof HYBE. Wow the FLEX. No one else comes close to this achievements and will stay like that and we armys want them to be even more richer than they are now coz that is what they deserve.
