I've been emotional before watching this video, watching it even made me cry (which isn't often) and I honestly identify with Yoongi so much that 1) his reactions had me almost breaking down and 2) even though I was almost calm while reading the comments, this quote made me start crying again 😐 BTS literally makes me feel so much, more than I've felt in probably the last 10 years. I can't explain or even comprehend it myself... it's not like the music I used to listen to to block out my emotions or to shout out my emotions. Its more like I finally have someone speaking what I didn't want or have the courage to say... To others or myself. It's like being brutally honest with yourself in a loving way and idk how to deal with that tbh... But I'm so glad I have them to string me along in their path. I couldn't be more thankful for them as I am now! 💜

I know right, they write lyrics, compose and produce, sing and dance in live performances. When they debuted many people said that they can't be success, everybody underestimate them. Even they said that when they shared the waiting room in music show with other artist, they feel like the other artist is uncomfortable with them. When they debuted they don't get many support from their senior cuz they don't have. But look at them now, after one decade they're only one who get Artist of The Year who not come from big company:)

I still remember that night when BTS was announced as the Artist of The Year. This award not only meant a lot for them but also artists from a small company or anyone who didn't have any background and support but still working hard for their dream. Its because his grandma died a month before this award he feels really happy and sad st the same time if you realise because his grandma isnt there infront of the tv to cheer him… He just wanted to support his brother showing his grandma above that they are the reason why he’s there… you can see sadness in his eyes thinking about his grandma😢😢

They came from a small company that didn't have a lot of money, they weren't supported by many people in the industry, they were looked down upon. I think it's because many people feel that they are indeed "the artist" of this year, 2016. They worked so hard since their debut to be there where they are nowadays and to stand on that MAMA stage as winners of a daesang. Nobody can argue with it and nobody can discredit how artistic and talented they are. Their personalities are also great and they are someone who you can easily love. They clearly deserve the love they get from people (not only from fans).:)
They started as nobodies who were called kpop dirt, a group of people who will have no success. They turned to somebodies, a group of people who are very talented and heartwarming personalities. They started with so much haters. Then they won TWO awards in MAMA they are really gifted.

I remember I was so overjoyed about their win that I didn't realise I was crying. It hit me the hardest when I saw Yoongi broke down and I realised just how much all their hard work has paid off. Honestly, I couldn't have picked a better group to love and adore more than these boys.
I wasn't able to watch this part live. I had a doctor appointment and had to leave. I watched a little with my bluetooth ear buds in but they'd already taken me back to the exam room and I had disconnected them. Before the doc came in, I saw a tweet that said they won. I didn't believe it at first. When I saw tons of tweets within seconds, I knew it was real. I was bouncing in my seat, crying and trying my best not to make noise. LOL I composed myself right before the doc came in! LOLOL

Me too!!! I became interested in finding out who is Jin after seeing Kim NamGil mentioning him few times. And at the very same time my husband randomly says let's try some kpop (we just got our new car and have a Spotify app in there), it was Permission to dance that surprised us. And then my universe. To be honest I love the old Coldplay songs since Yellow, and I didn't update myself much because busy making ends meet., I was shocked that coldplay actually collab with bts. And there, I got more serious into finding out. I extended my studies beyond Jin. So I find out what kind of group is BTS. Through the stories of their hardships, to their successes, I truly admire their spirit. Then astronaut was released. Jin enlisted at the moment I truly fell in love what I have just discover. Ever since Jin enlistment.... I slowly calling myself a newborn army.

i still remember the day i watched MAMA 2016, when BTS won this daesang i was like "whaT? why BTS? I have actually been an army since 2013. No words could describe how i feel when they win this. I remember back then everyone was stanning other groups and not many people know them. This awards is one of the prove that they made it and also as a token of appreciation for their hard works throughout the years. Now they finally got big. I don't ask many things. 2016 was the year I discovered BTS (and K-pop in general)... and fell down the rabbit hole right away. The first album I bought was WINGS and the first award show I watched was MMA where they won their first daesang. From then till now, I've been a loyal ARMY. I've seen their journey and will always be proud of where they are now.
January 2020 BTS already have 39 Daesangs and it makes BTS be the artist in South Korea with the most number of daesangs🏆🏆🏆 update : #1 at BB100 4 times 😌 Nov 25th, 2020 THEY'RE NOMINATED FOR GRAMMY AWARD 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Dec 6th, 2020 BTS swept all daesang on MAMA and makes BTS become the first artist in HISTORY to earn more than 50 DAESANGS (51 in total)

They came from a small company that didn't have a lot of money, they weren't supported by many people in the industry, they were looked down upon. People made fun of them, they didn't take them seriously. It wasn't easy for them to get to where they are today, they had to work twice as hard.

I think it's because many people feel that they are indeed "the artist" of this year, 2016. They worked so hard since their debut to be there where they are nowadays and to stand on that MAMA stage as winners of a daesang. Nobody can argue with it and nobody can discredit how artistic and talented they are. Their personalities are also great and they are someone who you can easily love. They clearly deserve the love they get from people (not only from fans).:)

I remember I was so overjoyed about their win that I didn't realise I was crying. It hit me the hardest when I saw Yoongi broke down and I realised just how much all their hard work has paid off. Honestly, I couldn't have picked a better group to love and adore more than these boys.
I wasn't able to watch this part live. I had a doctor appointment and had to leave. I watched a little with my bluetooth ear buds in but they'd already taken me back to the exam room and I had disconnected them. Before the doc came in, I saw a tweet that said they won. Me too!!! I became interested in finding out who is Jin after seeing Kim NamGil mentioning him few times. And at the very same time my husband randomly says let's try some kpop (we just got our new car and have a Spotify app in there), it was Permission to dance that surprised us. And then my universe. To be honest I love the old Coldplay songs since Yellow, and I didn't update myself much because busy making ends meet., I was shocked that coldplay actually collab with bts. And there, I got more serious into finding out. I extended my studies beyond Jin. So I find out what kind of group is BTS. Through the stories of their hardships, to their successes, I truly admire their spirit. Then astronaut was released. Jin enlisted at the moment I truly fell in love what I have just discover. Ever since Jin enlistment.... I slowly calling myself a newborn army.

I have actually been an army since 2013. No words could describe how i feel when they win this. I remember back then everyone was stanning other groups and not many people know them. This awards is one of the prove that they made it and also as a token of appreciation for their hard works throughout the years. Now they finally got big. I don't ask many things. The first album I bought was WINGS and the first award show I watched was MMA where they won their first daesang. From then till now, I've been a loyal ARMY. I've seen their journey and will always be proud of where they are now.

What sets bts apart from other artists is the cohesion between artist and company. There is such a good relationship between company and artist. That's what sets them apart and obviously there's something special abt the artist themselves.
