PERSIMMON LOG on the Woodmizer LT70

First time in our 10 years of sawing that we get the opportunity to Saw an Appalachian oddity a Persimmon Log or which I think is a Persimmon. This came in with a load of Sassafras and as you can tell it ain't no Sassafras. My app says the same as me and says Persimmon. So that is what we go with. Come along with us while the boss lady slices up this Persimmon log on the Woodmizer LT70.

All of the persimmon I've seen is White to creamy looking. I've not sawn any, but I have turned several mallets- all white with a small black pith. Your bark did look like persimmon though.
