  • The search leader for the doomed Titan submersible has declared it is just a matter of time before MH370 is discovered as he compares it to the discovery of the Titanic.
The Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 was carrying 227 passengers, including six Australians, and 12 crew members when it vanished shortly after it departed Kuala Lumpur on March 8, 2014.
Ten years on, the disappearance of MH370 remains to this day the greatest aviation mystery of all time.
In a Sky News Australia documentary MH370: Ten Years On, experts weighed in on how the disappearance of the aircraft compared to the famous discovery of the Titanic.
“I think it is more challenging than finding the Titanic because Titanic, there was a fairly known location,” Pelagic Research Services CEO Ed Cassano told Sky News Australia.
The wreckage of the Titanic was found by a joint French-American expedition 73 years after the ship sunk.
“They were able to find Titanic as technology advanced so it’s just a matter of time,” Mr Cassano added.

I thought this was about comparing the search for the Titanic to the search of MH370. Not sure what the Titan sub has to do with it? A better example would've been the Air France flight that crashed in the Atlantic Ocean and was hard to locate.

They weren't even looking for the Titanic when they found it. They were actually looking for a submarine that had been lost for decades.

Not quite.. looking for the Titanic was used as a cover story to find the submarines so the Soviets wouldn't find out. They completed the mission early.. so with the remaining days left with the budget they were given they went looking for the Titanic and eventually found it.

Wrong. The navy hired a dude to investigate two sunken subs. He asked would they fund titanic as well. They said yes if he worked on their subs first. He did and then he went for titanic. The navy was able to use titanic as a cover story so it worked out for everyone

Governments and industries are vastly more interested in exploring the heavens, but our oceans are plain and boring in comparison, therefore the responsibility of ocean exploring technology is largely in the hands of tiny companies. Moreover the physics of underwater searching limits the scanning technology. Kilometers of seawater is sufficient to block even high intensity gamma rays.

One thing is certain Carbon fiber is useless for submersible hull integrity. The View port window was only rated for a depth of a third of the way to the Titanic. The carbon fiber hull of the imploded sub made loud cracking sounds during dives in the Bahamas ie each dive thereafter continued to weaken the titans hull. You can't break the Rules to the Laws of physics or they will break you.

The captain loaded his own program into the plane's computer so that he could put the first officer who was on his last training flight through the paces. _Was he capable of handling his responsibilities? How would the first officer react if communications were lost? Could he navigate to the nearest airport based on the stars in the sky and patterns of city lights?_ The captain's program worked perfectly, having tested it many times at _home._ The ventilation management system lacked data that the plane had left the ground and responded accordingly, opening valves that let in fresh air. Passengers were dozing so nothing seemed unusual when everyone felt drowsy. They slipped into unconsciousness and were soon dead. The plane continued on its programmed flight path until it ran out of fuel.
Authorities may load the captain’s program into a similar plane and verify the result.

Indian ocean off Aust, is very remote with only planes flying over it generally and no islands save for a couple way down low. So "development" will be very slow coming and that and fact is they really havnt a clue where the plane is as the data conflicts and the pilot could have changed heading for hours and gone thousands of miles before running it out of fuel. The piece of wreckage found proves it didnt divert to a secret landing and it hit the water at least with some velocity,. so will be in pieces if they ever find it. Huge search effort with latest tech and pinging failed to find anything so MH370 may stay undisturbed for a very long time. Even if found, wont answer WHY it happened. As a pilot, you can see the heading changes early on and controlled flight out to this dark awful lonely ocean very deliberate and only the fixed ping that couldnt be turned off gave any data as to where it may be. No, notes, demands, or claims from the usual diluted religious "doing it for god" guys , just silence......

Flight MH 17 was not shot down by an anti-aircraft missile. Not only did its fuselage fall apart in the air, the plane began to fall apart even before it was supposedly shot down. And don't lie about the wind, at an altitude of 10 km or about 30,000 feet it can reach 70 m/s, and the air there is thin, it's not like the earth, but the plane flies at a speed of about 250 m/ s, so the resulting force is directed forward and towards the earth inertia and gravity. Thus, regardless of what caused the destruction, the wreckage of the aircraft always falls after the place where the destruction began. But the fuselage can be destroyed in the air from a collision with another aircraft in which the fuselage is involved, from an overload exceeding that inherent in the design of the aircraft, and from an internal explosion. The explosion of an anti-aircraft missile near the fuselage itself is not enough. And how downed planes fall, you can look at the downed Il-76 near Belgorod (this is the most obvious example) the fuselage is full of holes, smoking, but does not fall apart in the air, although 2 Patriot anti-aircraft missiles were fired at it (And yes, any air defense officer will say that 2 anti-aircraft missiles are always fired at one target at a time). And flight MH 17 took off from Amsterdam, Netherlands (NATO), so the Dutch were ready to do anything to hide the truth and not be responsible. Forgery, falsification and concealment of the wreckage of flight MH17, falsification and concealment of flight data recorders and analysis of data from them. And how and when they did it and the events of March 2014. As well as the events of March 2014 and the dates of production of the air conditioning system found at the crash site of flight MH 17 (one of them was January 2003, although the others were August 1996, and the rescue inflatable ladder, for example, was 1998, but the passenger seat covers are new 2014). As well as the love of the West to come to a decision in an the empirical way. All this makes it clear that flight MH 370 is useless to look for.

Carbon fiber cylinders or spheres can contain a lot of internal pressure before they burst. . They don't hold up nearly as well when resisting pressure that is applied from the outside. It's tensile strength vs compressive strength. If carbon fiber submarines were a bright idea, the world's navies would have been all over it by now. The Soviet Union made 7 submarines with titanium hulls, by the way.
