Rolling Stock: Alstom = Comet V Cab Car #6069. Bombardier = Comet IIM/IV Coach Cars; ALP-45DP Locomotive #4521.
Since I took the trip on Train #4344 eastbound to Long Branch, it is only fitting that I board Train #4335 to head back westbound to Bay Head, especially since that is where my car is parked lol. The main issue with the trip back was the delay that was experienced due to track work being in effect between Long Branch and Belmar (construction workers were making repairs to a crossing just north of Elberon station). Since there is no switch between the two stations, Train #4335 was held up at Long Branch for about 15 minutes to allow a Bay Head shuttle set to pass. I was informed that the set you guys saw with the ALP-45A was heading to the Meadowlands for service to MetLife Stadium due to a concert.
As mentioned in the video, whenever I take trips on NJT trains, I tend to notice the train traveling at a higher rate of speed when the locomotive is in the rear of the train as opposed to leading it. Even though it is roughly a 3-5 mph difference, the difference can definitely be felt when you are on-board. Luckily, the train was able to hit about 63 mph, which is 3 mph higher than the top speed of the earlier trip. Yes, I know that is a minor incline, but still lol.
Apologies for the intense green hue in the video, guys. I tried to do what I could to fix it; however, I think the green was because there are more trees on this side as opposed to the other side where I filmed as I rode Train #4344 to Long Branch earlier in the day. Another positive quality is that compared to many of the NJT lines, there is not an overabundance of trees, so passengers can behold the environment that the train travels through between Point A and Point B.
