Poppy’s woo hoos have become the highlight of my daughter (who is severely mentally and physically disabled) day! She always wants me to show her the videos and she watches the shorts of Poppy woo-hooing on repeat 🥰 Thank you Poppy for bringing so much joy to my little one who faces so many challenges every day. I hope one day she can have a Poppy of her very own!
That's so beutiful that Poppy makes her happy. I'm a nurse and I see the challenges disabled children must deal with. I'm so happy for you and your girl. I hope she can have her own little Poppy.

One time I went to the zoo with my sister and her boyfriend, and in the prairie dog enclosure they have those plastic domes you can go into to watch them up close. When sisters boyfriends head popped up in the dome, all of the praire dogs all at once stood up and made that noise. It sounded more like a "weeeee" at the time, but it was so cute and funny 😂 Poppy unlocked a core memory for me lol
Wahoo!!! Did you know prairie dogs have a language, with nouns and adjectives too? They have decoded part of the pattern of squeaks. Such amazing animals. 💖✨

But they will call a different sound for “human in blue” versus “human in yellow.” So, they do use a squeak pattern that indicates certain descriptors paired with an object. It is fascinating.

They are actually great pets. The only major downsides are housing, foraging enrichment, and company. They take a lot more then just a cage because they love to burrow, and they need to be able to regularly dig around for food. They’re also very social animals, so keeping just one (or even just two) can cause stress. They’ll also sometimes fight with other males so it’s best to keep one male at most. They live for a lot longer than most rodents and love attention just as much, so if you can meet those requirements you can enjoy yahoos for years :)
Yeah you'd probably abandon them after realizing you are not able to take care of them properly. Like what a lot of people do with their dogs hence why there are a lot of strays with no home.
She’s gorgeous. No prairie dogs in Australia. We do have some pretty cool Animals. The Platypus is a favourite of mine. But no Prairie dogs. She’s adorable.
I just love Poppy and the interaction between you, two. You obviously love each other very much. Her little wahoo are so joyful. They really make me smile. I raised a baby squirrel not long ago and it was such a profound experience. I never thought much about squirrels until then and I realized how loving, caring, playful and joyful they can be. My little Squiggly is living a squirrel's life now and I'm happy for him. That was the goal. But I really miss him. I'll never look at squirrels the same indifferent way I did before I met him. This sweet little girl is the most docile prairie dog I have ever seen. How precious!! You are so wonderful to her and it's vwey obvious how much she loves you. I always thought it cruel to keep prairie dogs as pets, and actually still do, but it's apparent she belongs here. Godspeed ❤

I Love animals, they are all so precious. I find it so extraordinary that we can bond this way with different animals if we simply care for them and are around them their whole lives.
I know of a family in Florida when I live there that has a tortoise that made a burrow underneath the foundation of their garage I'm older now and so he has lived there for 34 years and comes and goes as he pleases as you might expect he's quite big now to live amongst the animals and the habitats that you've moved into can be the most gratifying awesome part of life as you can see here with it just a prairie dog

I can telll you love this little prairie puppy because you tolerate the chewing he makes in your home. I never hear you complain about it. You love this little pup more than material things. That shows true love. The needs of the pup is more important than any destruction that she causes. That is true love. Her needs are more important. I love those yahoos. prairie dogs are extremely social creatures and if they are raised alone, they need a LOT of love and attention from their owners. it seems like poppy is getting this, which makes me happy.

A lot of rodents are extremely social creatures that depend upon each other for survival, also I had a gerbil called poppy that was the same color. 😄
