started reading the manga online and finished it within a week. These really don’t even Begin to cover how good the millennium falcon arc is like Damn. Go read the manga yourself if you haven’t already or if you’re on the fence about it 🔫🔫🔫
@@Blackhawk211 I had a friend who rushed through the manga in a week or so, and he barely retained any of it. I asked him "man wasn't it fucking awesome when Guts rode on Zodd's back to defeat Ganishka" and he had no idea what I was talking about and had no recollection of that happening. Berserk is best enjoyed like a fine wine, slowly, at a leisurely pace, taking in its art and themes and reflecting on what it all means.
I didn’t like Millennium Falcon as much as Golden Age or Conviction personally. It felt somewhat dragged out in parts and it didn’t feel quite as nuanced and ambitious as the other two. But Conviction and Golden Age are my two favorite arcs in anime and manga so that’s not much of an insult. Millennium Falcon is still an awesome arc and it would stand out in literally any series other than Berserk.
I've thought of that exact thing... Luke if there is a heaven then I'll definitely be able to finish berserk... and one piece if anything happens to me or oda
I cannot wait for the dreamscape sequence because that imo is miura at his best in regards with creativity and his art and in the means of story telling.
The dreamscape sequence (along with the awakening) and the Spring Flowers of Distant Days mini-arc both made me cry. Miura is a master of emotional storytelling
Zodd is very much a believer in a hierarchy of power. He works under Griffith not because he is a member of the God Hand, but because Griffith gave him an everlasting reminder that he is much stronger than Zodd.
I know this might be a controversial opinion but the Fantasia arc is my second favorite in the series (behind Golden Age, and above Conviction and Millennium Falcon)! I can't wait for Mark to review some of the most emotional and satisfying chapters in the series, along with the last few Miura published before his death
25:13 I definitely agree, a lot of pivotal plot points happened during that part of the story, similar to the eclipse. Along with the drop dead amazing art
I'm not sure if I can agree with the idea of Guts and Griffith teaming up again in any real fashion given while Griffith restoring his body is understandable and really easy to identify with (the exception being the method of how he did so). What he did to Casca specifically and in front of Guts (just to make it sting much worse) is something that can't really be gotten over or buried unless the times were truly at their most dire
One difference I've noticed is that guts needs comrades ( who are human btw) to help accomplish his goals. Griffith uses the powers he got from sacrificing comrades who would've died in battle for him.
Another great review from Mark. I love how half of the video was just about him gushing over the double-page spreads. Also, Editor-san delivered with those Beast in Black songs.

while we may never see a decent anime adaptation of this arc, there’s an absolutely savage metal song that details the transformation of ganishka and his final battle - demon king by canada’s finest berserk-themed deathcore group Brand of Sacrifice. if you like berserk and have a passing interest in heavy music (and I mean *heavy* - these guys take no prisoners) then you owe it to yourself to listen.

I highly recommend Vinland Saga if you haven't been recommended that enough, its not as fantastical in a magical sense in any comparable way to the recent things you've been reading but thematically its pretty akin.
Please do 2 videos, next month on Fantasia and another on the Final Chapter Like your Attack on Titan final chapter review I think a final chapter review could be good for also talking about what Berserk means to you and everything you learned up until then and a fantastic send off to Kentaro Miera from these reviews
