We are really enjoying following along in all your Europe adventures (and taking notes!). 😊 Great tip about public holidays. We experienced one in Vancouver on our debarkation day in May and had to keep alternative plans in mind and lucked out that the 100% GF restaurant we wanted to go to for breakfast was open. We're definitely going to need to make sure we plan for Sagrada Familia and all the Gaudi highlights -- and that art museum looked great. It will the first time for both of us in Spain, so we are excited to see all the highlights as best we can in a couple of days before our Med cruise. Thank you again for sharing all this great info!
Also, I’m sure it’s on your list, but the Picasso Museum is fantastic and just a few doors down from the Moco. We went there 12 years ago when we were last in Barcelona, so we didn’t stop there this time.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I don’t want to pretend like pickpockets don’t exist anymore- they definitely do. But I don’t want to be unnecessarily fearful on vacation! I think as long as you’re being smart you don’t have to let the stories scare you.
i have been to barcelona five times, this crazy italian woman once said to me " this city barcelona it tis theee magic city! " lol yes it's certainly got plenty of that!
@@FiveHungryTravelers indeedd! it's a goofy city! last time i was there i was riding my rental bike through parc de la cuitadella and along the beach and i was ringing my bike bell like crazy and sticking my tongue out at people and i got lots of funny reactions but most people just stared at me with blank neutral looks on their faces haha they didnt know what to think!

We usually prefer classic art but when in Barcelona modern is the way to go. I can’t wait to see how your trip goes!

I love Barcelona, this month will be my 3rd time and I have only seen 1 pickpocket on roller skates take a lady's wallet from her purse
My hands literally live in my pockets there, but we felt complete safe most places this last time. I’m so jealous for your upcoming trip!!
