This game is the perfect example of the prisoners dilemma, if both teams choose a clean deal theyll both get good money, if both of them deal dirty the third team will just come in 3rd party and take the money and project, if one team deals clean and the other dirty, the dirty team will get the most money. People deal dirty because of basic human nature. The most possible profit is in dealing dirty and having the other team deal clean. However this is only short term because if 2 teams decide to work together the whole week theyll both be rich and the friday dead drop will be a fun shootout with a giant arsenal. So far the only good solution ive heard is to give a bonus reward for a clean deal, it might be worth for the devs to implement this mechanic and if it doesnt work just revert it

I heard that at some point there will be NPCs walking around, imagine that when a shootout starts, all the NPCs in the area start running and screaming, then at the end of the day the players who were in the area during the shootout and shot would get a fine from the boss for making him need to bribe the police, as a penalty on their wages, this penalty would be disabled on dead drop and acquisition (for the teams that need to get the project by shooting), this could also open up an opportunity to give a bonus on dead drop and acquisition if you somehow get the project without shooting anyone.

It's gonna be way too laggy if they add NPC's, first they should figure out how to fix the lag spikes when players die

I feel like with the ghosting issue, a simple fix could just be making all briefcases/money/projects invisible to spectators; if they already knew where it was before spectating, it's not as big of a problem in my opinion, but when they just fly around the map like a drone, then it's a problem in my opinion. Also love the videos man, keep it up!

i think a good idea is to look back at the classics. look at TTT's karma system. karma is designed to prevent TKing by reducing the amount of damage you do if you TK, but one could retool the idea for the purpose of discouraging reckless action.
like a "heat" system- attacking other teams would draw heat onto your team which would heavily increase shop costs until the heat dies down. say for example your current heat would lower by 50% at the start of the next day, but everyone who participates in a gunfight takes away from that percentage based on how much shooting they did, what weapons they used, and if they started the fight(shooting someone would temporarily flag any nearby player that's not on your team, making it so they don't draw as much heat for shooting back). nades and the carc would make heat skyrocket, but if you're confident you can make a winning play with them, you won't mind it. could also solve any issues tied to snowballing- if you have an advantage gained through brute force you can't lord it over the other teams by buying more and more weapons because you'll have drawn so much heat you have to wait a day or two to effectively spend your money
the one flaw this might present is overly penalizing the losing teams in a fight but there can always be certain cheap items that don't have their costs affected so you're never completely out of the game

I think that these are fair points but the dirty dealing aspect is just random luck depending on if you get a team of clean dealers or dirty dealers on the other teams and even your own. I hate when I am the only one on my team who wants to make a clean deal because I know that we are going to destroy our reputation with other teams. I think adding the cash bonus for clean dealing is a good point because it entices clean deals but doesn't fully discourage dirty deals because sometimes just a little of dirty dealing is just as fun as clean dealing.

tbh it pisses me off when I see people just completely ignore the disclaimers advising you to use voice chat, and decide to just go mute the entire game for no reason because it just slows down the game so much and really brings down the fun factor

i feel like even after the nerf seltzer is still unbalanced just as a concept. You can always just shoot the enemy and place your seltzer in their base, still encouraging dirty dealing. I feel like I preferred before the update came out because the way you made clean deals was through negotiation and charisma.

Putting the Seltzer in their base gives them money though

@@TheRealPenguinatorthe point of dirty dealing for some people just having fun, not actually winning imo. I think they should add seperate TDM servers to isolate dirty dealers

@@TheRealPenguinator The strathegy after planning to do that is to give it to the poorest team so that you atleast get the money and the other team doesn't get much of an advantage, and it only affects one team, so imagine that on day 1 alamont does a deal with bergman, and they trade bottles to each other each time, even if they fight, it only affects halfwell, and on the last day they gang up on halfwell then they kill each other, i have managed to pull this off once, making halfwell hate us.
I think the bottles were a good idea in theory but making it work is really hard.

For the snowballing problem i think bumping the minimum money you gain from 120 to 200 could work and it also would have a nice curve:
On mondays people can use pistols
    Pintos on tuesday
Doppios, urals and kicks on wednesday
Carcosas on thursday if someone wants to
And at max an ace with a single clip on friday, so the playing field is a bit more even, but you still have a reason to try to get more money(getting better guns quick, grenades, magnums, etc)

maybe some items that encourage clean deals, such as:
token of peace: can be traded to another team for a 1.5x multiplier for the rest of the week (or day) as long as the teams don't kill eachother
gift box: retains any items put inside for the next day if traded to a team (except money, projects, seltzers, active grenades. maybe it'll be able to be destroyed on will if the other team decides to steal it)
    oh and just for fun:
gps tracker: can be put on any item to track its location, destroyable
encouraging (and/or adding) different strategies will probably help the game's gameplay loop from becoming stale

make the dirty deals more risky instead of deductions because the whole point of dirty deals is to take more money things the best way to do this would be a payday like crime detection system and if your caught you will be chased by npc police and receive a deduction at the end of the day because the boss had to pay bail
