Man, this is sick. Congratulations to Devin on the awesome new signature guitar. Not just that, congratulations to Jeff and the Kiesel team for having one of the sickest guitar and signature artist rosters in the industry. Cheers, to hard earned success.
I love these mad scientist type guitars. Hoping to have something in a similar vein myself one day. But at the moment I’m super stoked about the Tim Miller signature I just ordered!
This is fantastic! Devin Townsend is a monster and it's great to have him using Kiesel. I've been Kiesel since they were Carvin and I've raved about these guitars for years. So happy to see he and Joshua Meader join the family!
24:55 But if you play it in bed like that, the jack will stick into your leg (or groin), otherwise a brilliant embodiment of the “Stonebender” concept William Gibson wrote about in Idoro. Unfortunately way out of my price range for a “bed guitar”, but I have a spare Samick, bandsaw, $50 chinese headless bridge kit, and wireless sender. It won’t look (or sound) pretty, but it also won’t skewer a testicle. I think even that cardboard (MDF?) test version with the penned in frets would be out of my price range. I just wasn’t mean to have nice things.
Love it - sent them an email, however worried about the frets, has a 14 inch jumbo frets, which sounds really wide, got old lady hands, and want a guitar I feel as though I can give a hug, not a manly guitar with too much girth ? lol This is the guitar of my dreams, matches my bracelet as well, sad! But think this might be a deal breaker :( alot of money to spend for a guitar I may not be able to get intermit with? no i'm a sis woman, with small hands!
I may be misunderstanding your comment, but neither of those concerns you mention have anything to do with the width or thickness of the neck itself. 14" is the top radius of the fretboard (basically, how "flat" the fretboard is from side to side). It's the standard on all Kiesels and is pretty neutral for both chords and soloing. And the "jumbo" frets only refers to the width and height of the frets themselves. And I think they are only like .002" narrower and .01" taller than a med-jumbo (or something like that). Not all players even notice the difference. Kiesel does have a "thinner" neck option that makes the neck overall slightly thinner top to bottom, but I don't think it's offered on this model. The standard Kiesel neck profile is very comfortable to me though and definitely doesn't feel chunky.
I have a 24.75" scale, 20" fretboard radius Kiesel Zeus (headless) with the thinner neck profile. It's great with my small(?) to medium size hand, with short fourth finger. Effortless playing couch guitar it is. The Zeus is one of the few models available in 24.75", so do order that option, thinner neck and 20" radius pulls it all together for max playability.
Can't they have pups UNDER the fretboard (on the body)? Pickups don't care if there's wood in the way, they'll detect the break in the magnetic field if there's wood there or not.
This is a very different tool than a Holdsworth model though. There was a pic of AH with a Kiesel 8 string. I wonder what he recorded with that that never saw daylight... Based on that 8, his custom made long neck Delap guitars and Synthaxe use, I kind of think AH would have bought, or been gifted with one of these to noodle and create with. It's another tool with capabilities for different stuff.
I'm so happy to see this. My favorite musician with my favorite guitar company.

You're doing everything right in the guitar world Kiesel, keep up the great work!
Congrats Devin and Kiesel crew! You guys are absolutely nailing these artist Guitars! 👍
the ideal couch guitar then

Super unique guitar, perfect for Devin
Congratulations Devin and Kiesel. I'm a huge fan of both. I own two Kiesel 7 strings, and I love them! 💚🎸
WOW?! What an interesting creation & I want the inlay!!
Devon is great player .cool guitar
Tim Miller & now Devin Townsend... Oh my!
And Josh meader…
And Holdsworth for decades.
@@jfo3000 Yep I even own a Holdsworth Carvin model
I had a "driftwood" themed Zeus Multiscale 7 made by Kiesel a year ago. Devin had the same idea I guess and RAN with it. I'm super on board with this.
PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO PLAYING BOTH MODELS!!
So freaking cool. I love em both.
Amazing collaboration. I'd love to get one soon.
sick. yes, I will play... ambience, with 32 frets. sure I will. XD And I love how specific devins build it fits the personality.
Comes from the factory tuned to open C. I actually always though it strange that the Framus didn’t, or even came with the right strings for it.
First headless model that I’m in love with!
Wow you folks at Kiesel have been busy as hell lately
Alot of great musicians signing on and putting out great stuff
wish multiscale was possible, will be keeping an eye out to see if that changes because loving the body shape
Absolutely great looking.

Excited to hit the road tomorrow and experience Connect!
For the double neck please go yin and yang themed!
While this is not something I would consider for myself, it is a beautiful instrument, and I live devins music for sure.
Just ordered mine ! First one in France ? 😅🤘🏼😊❤️
Just saw a guitar at NAMM and it looks like it has the same 3 single coils together...anyone else see that Siggi Braun???
Holy fuckin fuck!! I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised tbh
wish it had a cutaway for the higher frets. I play in a very nerdy position (strap really high) for maximum chordage
Cool design. Weird question, can I get it in a 7 string?
WHAT ? SOOO COOL !
It's a lapstick :) Awesome

His Framus guitar can't be beat. But Kiesel makes wonderful instruments.
This is the coolest headless EVER imo.. it just a no buy for me cus there are no options for my own prefered specs
Guitar looks sick, but Devin is overlooking a crucial point. Plastic would still be around in a thousand years, 😂
Can you get these lefty? Looks like you can't.
Will this be available as a lefty?!
Yes \m/
I’m left handed
Do you have left handed models?

Pickups don't care if there's wood in the way, they'll detect the break in the magnetic field if there's wood there or not.
I believe Zappa had pups under the fretboards on some guitars. They might be unservicable in that location, depending.
I'd still take a Holdsworth model over this.
This is a very different tool than a Holdsworth model though.

hablaron 1 hora y no conectaron la guitarra a un amplificador
Brag Jeff brag
$2700 US....... nope...
Damn, I love kiesel and devin but this guitar is so fucking ugly holy shit 🤣
Its soooooo ugly 😂
Damnit! I just bought the 27 fret RGA, if I knew Kiesel was going to make this, then I never would"ve bought it.
