About the timer, the past few years GBB used 3 minute timers for loopstation rounds. A lot of loopers felt that the time was too short to properly showcase a round and they would often go over 0 seconds because of a small mistake. Last year they had a 10 seconds extra time after the 3 minutes but still a similar issue. So for 2024, they used a 3:40 timer and I think it will stay like that for future GBB competitions because it gives the loopers flexibility in how long there rounds are. Hopefully this is helpful.

Just a heads up about the time, the tracks can be between 3:00 and 3:40, so the timer displaying 0:39 means you are still in the correct time length. Its to give flexibility for the artists

The launchpad basically just gives better/faster control over the loopstation's effects, so it was a bit of a toss up whether or not it was considered a true second device for 2024. But it (and all second devices) have been banned for 2025 as far as i'm aware.
Also the timer isn't messed up (at least not for this battle 😓), they're just allowed to stop whenever they want and as long as they've used up the majority of the time, then it won't be counted heavily against them.

actually, raje has a secret technique with his loopstation and the launchpad (it's not a second device btw), bassicly it's still his own voice, but it just get easier when he use the launchpad
