Your way of presentation is magical. Visually stunning and The way of cascading information is Minimalistic. Maybe that's why your RUclips channel is a goldmine for learners.

Stunning work, you're a true polymath.
You're absolutely right we're all slaves to the convenience of music libraries at the cost of creating scores that are more responsive and unique to the visual material.
I don't really do it anymore, but playing around with Ableton nearly 2 decades ago was partly what got me into editing and filmmaking (I started off making sound art and radio docs).
I loved the level 5 with processed samples, I used to carry an audio recorder and collect field recordings like a street photographer and then mess around with thr samples and often combine them with interviews or create soundscapes from them, but i always lacked the technical musical theory / knowledge that you have.
I also just love watching you play piano combined with your unique cinematography style. Very inspiring, thank you!

Audio is so crucial to level up the mood, it's a shame it's more of an afterthought for storytellers. I don't have a problem with music sfx libraries as many industry professionals still use them, however the problem is when i inevitably hear the same track from one video on another. Kinda like TikTok. But i think audio can be even more important than lighting, so i hope i can encourage people to record more.
Field recording is also very fun, i have a lot of recordings just using my phone. And id argue that you dont need musical theory, especially in modern times. You can will music into existence with enough passion like Kurt Cobain, or incorporate it as textures in modern pop (Beetles chomping on celery, Billy Eilish recording the pedestrian walking signal). With the advent of technology, artists are focusing on audio texture as opposed to "solved" chord progressions. So anyone can make music, all you need is dedication
