It is for no other reason other than there is an arranger who does the arrangement of the song, that was how Stell was supposed to sing his part. Also, the arranger probably knew it would not look good for the only male to sing the highest parts or notes when there are 2 female singers who are equally able to belt as well.

He is an international dance champion along with Josh. That being said, Josh is both the lead rapper and lead dancer. Ken is the main dancer but at the same time the bass vocal and the lead vocal. Lastly, Justin is dubbed as the hidden main vocal and don't be fooled by his meek appearance because he is actually the creative director of the group. He keeps people in line.
Actually, all of them are good singers, but they covered exited songs while the only singer diseney accept to have own new song is Morissette amon which is Imagine more.
