I actually shot this last year but junior year was a rollercoaster for me so I didn't get to edit it in time. It was to be my 3 years at Mercer review, spoken through black people here on campus.
Questions asked:
As a student of color, how do you like Mercer Univeristy?

I’m going to be Class of 2025 at Mercer, and I’m a black female. Growing up I’ve always been around mostly white people in my classes. Honestly it’s what I’m used to because I grew up in a small southern town and placed into advanced classes since elementary schools. It sucks in most of my classes growing up I was the only black kid in my classes. So it’s interesting hearing other black kids. like me, talk about being the minority in school. It was always so normal to me to be the only black kid.
I got into Mercer for the freshman class of 2019, but the lack of diversity and the vigorous coursework is kinda throwing me off
Yeah those can be an issue for some. Have you thought of switching majors?
I might be attending Mercer this fall as an international student

Glad I came across this. I’ve been discriminated against a lot at my current Uni (PWI) and I’m premed. I was looking at Mercer school of medicine but by how everyone was in this video..... nah lol I really want to attend a diverse college of medicine.
Have you considered it's you nobody likes and not your color? Don't go into medicine. You're not mature enough.

Confidentiality of Student Records
All employees of Mercer University, to include administrators, faculty, and staff, are required to abide by the policies governing the review and release of student educational records. Access to the student record system (CampusVUE) will be granted only to those University employees who have been determined by the nature of their job to have a "legitimate educational interest” also defined as a "need to know".
If given access to student records it is your responsibility to never:
• disclose your personal password to another individual
• sign onto a computer terminal and let anyone else access data from it
• leave screens (or reports) containing confidential student information in view of others who do not have a legitimate educational interest in the data
• leave the computer terminal unattended (always lock your session whenever you are going to be away from your desk for short periods of time and sign off whenever you are going to be away for an extended period)
• improperly store or dispose of printed student record reports.
