How much for the trusses there, are they 30” looks like 15 and 15 put together. Thanks for showing telling, let me know if can the cost have a great day see ya bye.
I haven’t priced them in a bit. The company we bought them from ended up going out of business. I think the closest place to me is in NC now instead of WV.
Not sure on the weight of the truss. I'll find that info out and let you know. These trusses are 30ft wide and the distance between each truss is 10ft. The full building size is 30ft wide by 40ft long, height is about 12 foot to the top of the post.
What is the black wrap you used on the poles for water proofing? Want to just sink some poles myself but I know I gotta do something to prevent rot long term.
It's asphalt fence paint. Some of the posts weren't as deep in the ground as others because we were working with the grade that was there. That's why it looks higher on some of them than the others.
It's held up really well. We ordered another kit back in the summer another building, not quite as big, and bought lean to trusses from them as well to put off one side of the new building. Hoping to start it soon. This one will go over the cattle chute.
It was build a barn in West Virginia. They have went out of business. I believe my next closest supplier to me is R&R Ironworks out of North Carolina. There prices were close to the same just further from me.
The current price is $7,300 for this standing roof kit. The price has went up some since we did ours, but not to much. I want to say it was around $6,800. Here is the link to the kit that we purchased. www.buildabarnllcwv.com/apps/webstore/products/show/7276839?siteId=129671730&locale=en-US
Yes you can. I know for our purpose we wanted it open on all sides, but a lot of people would go ahead and close it in. Make it into a garage or workshop with roll up doors.
It's probably similar. We got ours from www.buildabarnllcwv.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwbmUusTB6gIVU-DICh1z5gb4EAAYASAAEgLJbvD_BwE They are relatively close to where we live. Still had to drive 3 hours but worth it. They had some deals going on at the time.
Good video. Very in depth perspective, just what I was looking for.
Thanks. Glad it helped.

Any idea what each truss weighed? Also what is the length of the span? Thanks for the video and it's very timely for me

Just heard back. They are saying the 30ft trusses are 250lbs assembled.
LickRun Outdoors Thanks so much. I'm putting up a 36x30 barn. Now I know what I'm getting into 😀

Looks good, looks like your posts are set in concrete, what did you treat the bottom of the posts with?
Several coats of asphalt fence and post paint.
