I destroyed the counselor camp tent thingie in my Skyline Valley build and I loved it way more. I've been kinda doing what you've done here just to see how things go. Now you've saved me some time lol.
Yeah, that one stood out to me too. I figured that a video like this was long overdue, not just for time-saving, but for people looking to purchase items like this.
Great video idea! I love the look of lots of the broken things, but they so often get fixed by well-meaning players. It would be nice to have an option to turn off the ability for others to do repairs to your camp.
@@MoonlightCowboyGaming YES! Oh my goodness, that would be awesome. Sometimes I want to put a sign on the door but don’t want to waste my budget, lol. 😆 Love your videos!
The large concrete defensive walls with the carbiner looking attachments on it can be destroyed in sections. I have used those walls before on scrap camps and just destroyed the bottom 2 panels to make a door opening.
I don't do trap building, but I think they're fun and often ingenious. I voluntarily condemn my toon to a death sentence whenever I see one. That said, some of the items remain tangible when destroyed. I always wondered why no one has tried a reverse trap before. As in repairing destroyed items (like in a scrappy build) as part of the trap. Just a thought!
@MoonlightCowboyGaming yes, reverse repair vendor punji traps do exist, theyre unexpexted so definitely worth the reactions 😄😝 funnily enough last 2 of my builds ben trap-less haha 😁👌
This is interesting I've used destroyed walls in a build, but never thought about items! Do the long doors have collision? They would make interesting bridges! This is a really good showcase of items that really get the cogs turning!
I wish for so many things. Automatic closing doors, light dimmers, rotating items 360°. That is definitely on my list as well! Thanks a bunch my good friend!
Sadly, you cannot. I also wish we had a way to have doors automatically close, and be able to be opened from the inside even when locked. But wishful thinking, right?
I watched half of the video and I can only think about one thing - especially because I used a few broken walls in my camp: What if there's some griefer who repairs the wall/prop/the whole CAMP!?😱😱 How can you prevent that? It's quite scary tbh
Same here. I was so excited when I first found out about the UFO sign. I had been wanting to do this for a while, but held out until the Season rewards came out. Thanks mate, and nice build this week. One of the best I've seen so far!
Okay so here’s a curveball question that no one may know for even a while because 95% of the featured Best Builds are weekly challenge boosted low effort barf builds; do destroyed items carry over into your best build? I love the Atlantic City weather but the weather machine for it is gigantic and hideous. It’s normally destroyed in my camp. I’m just curious if people are seeing this ugly ass weather machine poking out of my mineral extractor because there’s no place I can hide it properly. It’s like 15 feet tall, damn thing! 🤣🤌🏼
@@Momofukudoodoowindu not sure if they carry over. Wondering this myself. As far as hiding items. You can always drop merge them into the ground under your camp
I don't have the answer for that in particular but gotta something similar to share. By direct experience (24 hours ago, Sept 6th 2024 - who knows if it's gonna change): 1- Best build that spawn in the server are invulnerable to nukes 2- you can activate your camp after a nuke, within the circle, and the camp will suffer no damage at all (or, I've been lucky). 3- I tweak the camp a bit before submitting (unlock stuff, remove "special" contraptions) - since it takes a screenshot of its state. I then revert the changes (no undo sadly) to keep using it for other purposes. It definitely helps taking some cool pics of your camp with a (already exploded) nuclear mushroom behind/around :P

Thanks for taking the time to do this! So much potential!
Thank you for taking the time to watch! Lots of other great content creators out there to watch, and you chose to watch my video. Much appreciated!

Glad you found some inspiration here!

Yes, you are quite right about that one. Thanks for sharing, because I definitely glazed over it in the tutorial.
Great vid! I agree, some items look better destroyed! I remember early on, fixing fellow wastelander camps...now I know better...unless it's obvious.
Same here. I used to think I was being a nice wastelander until someone finally told me otherwise. Thanks for checking it out!
OOOOh, some of them look really cool when destroyed. 🤔
I totally agree! For those who are crafty, there are some cool ideas one could execute. Thanks for checking out the guide!
Some truly excellent ideas, cheers 💀🤘

You know, I need to double check on the collision. I'll let you know when I get back on. I want to say yes though.
Thks for the information ❤ some item do look very good when broken.. wish you could lock some in that state so other ppl can't repair them 😊

So much work and effort. Thank you. That's a subscribe from me.
Wow, thank you kindly!!
Very informative

Other players keep repairing my destroyed objects, how do I disable other players from doing that
You can't.

@@MoonlightCowboyGaming well we do have an elevator door but it doesn't automatically close.

My advice is to leave room in your budget for on flame trap just in case. That's really the only solution.
I used to use broken stuff in my camps, but i got tired of people constantly repairing stuff.
Same! One of the reasons I don't build ecrappy!
❤
how do you stop people from repairing your stuff?
Hope.
Heeeeey❤

Been doing this for years now. It is the first thing I do after getting new items. Good on ya for making a definitive list. ❤
