Just started using Turbo Tenant to help rent rooms on my first home!! I seriously love the service design. Unrelated question, are you guys hiring software engineers?
We're so happy to hear that! Good luck renting out your rooms.

Hey! Thank you so much for all this helpful information. I'm in the process of purchasing my first home and will highly consider using turbotenant to rent out the rooms.
What should I expect/what actions should I take in terms of reporting rent collection to the IRS?
Congrats on your first home! We recommend chatting with an accountant that has rental property experience for specifics, but this blog can help answer some of your questions: www.turbotenant.com/blog/schedule-e/
I wouldn’t use turbotenant to collect rent if my tenant has to pay a fee. Nobody wants to pay a fee.
We agree, which is why we make ACH payments free for renters when their landlord is a Premium subscriber. When we do charge a fee, we do our best to keep it low ($2 for non-Premium).
