He was the best player in the world for the latter half of 2018 imo. Literally unplayable at the 2018 World Cup and his form at Chelsea was outstanding. Hazard was playing consistently at the same level (or a bit below) as Messi over that period in a struggling Chelsea team. It's unfortunate how things have turned out at Real but he'll always be remembered as one of the most technically-gifted and talented players of this generation.
Chelsea was best when Hazzard played with Diego Costa & Oscar. Good attacking formation would have lifted Chelsea above all the European clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munic.
