Do you have a video that describes how to troubleshoot our irrigation issue? When we turned our sprinklers on this spring, we would get water for a few minutes then the pump would warm up and shut off. We eventually replaced the entire pump. Sprinklers will now water for (at most) 10 minutes then stop. We hope you have a video that can help us troubleshoot issues other than the pump. Thank you! :)
Hi thanks for posting this video! My motor is pulling water, the sprinklers come up and water comes out for about 10 to 20 seconds, then the motor shuts down. What do you think the problem might be?
Great video! I have a pump just like the one in the video. I’m having an issue with the water “surging’ and low pressure. I’ve rebuilt the pump and replaced the suction line with a new check valve. I’ve also been replacing the valve diagrams and sprinkler heads. Still getting the water surging. Any ideas?
@@progreengroundservices4038 best way I can describe it would be it’s like your spraying something with your garden hose and someone is turning the spigot off and on. The stream has a “galloping”, surging effect.

That could possibly mean you have a bad motor or a bad capacitor. You would have to do a ohms test do you know the difference. Usually when it trips it’s a bad motor and the pump is no more good sometimes you get lucky if it’s just a capacitors you have to replace
We know our pump is working (it's brand new) but it will get warm and turn off after only a few minutes. Do you have any videos to show us how to troubleshoot water issues or something other than the pump? Thank you.
Make sure your pump is accepting the correct voltage. Pumps come wired ar 220 volts! but if you power source is 110volts it will run hot or not turn on at all.

@@greenlawnservicesllc7453 great question. It means there’s not enough power getting to it. For example the pump comes wired at 2:20 V. What if the power source gives you 110 V it will shut off. It will also do that the other way around two so the power going to the pump and make sure the pump is wired in sync with the voltage provided.
@@progreengroundservices4038 I should have mentioned it’s worked for years but hurricane Milton made the pump tip over a little. It was raised up out of the lake sitting on a rotten wood stand. Could it be because the pump is sitting on a slight angle? Or is it short cycling ? It’s not tripping the breaker
@@greenlawnservicesllc7453 then the capacitor inside the pump has probably taken a little bit of damage giving you enough voltage for it maybe turn on and then turn off. You can do two things change the capacitor or get another pump.
Sir, I didn’t run my system for a few weeks and now my pump just hums when I turn it on, is it shot? I tried priming it but it doesn’t seem to help. A sprinkler guy that came over said it was jammed and advised me to replace it. My water comes from a lake.
If you’re pump is making A loud bumblebee like noise or a loud humming it means the pump has locked up it is no more good you will have to replace it. Does it ship the breaker when you turn it on?
Nice informative video but it didn’t help me diagnose my problem. I turned my stay right pump off for one month and when I went to turn it back on it won’t work anymore. It’s humming when I turned it on but not getting hot in. The relay is putting out to 220 but the pump says it’s getting 110.
There is a switch in the back of the pump where you can change the voltage settings from 1:10 to 220. You have to have equal voltage going to the pump from the relay for example 220 V power and a pump that is wire up 110 will cause a pump to run hot very hot If you look at my other video where I am wiring up a ever built pump you will know how to switch looks but you will need a flat head screwdriver to just switch it over to 220 and then try it again .If it’s still hums then the windings in the pump is gone and it’s time to get a new motor but that’s only after it’s wired up right
Make sure your pump is wired correctly! And make sure all connections are tight and secured. Even at the pump relay make sure wire connections are good. Also make sure that you do not have a bad breaker supplying power to the pump. If all of those areas are good then it’s time for a new pump
