Why, if in a mature ecosystem (which is stable) there are 7 frogs, and you eat five insects a day (for example, possibly more), that's 35 less insects a day, which pollinate plants, These plants in turn feed other herbivorous animals, or give us the fruits we eat every day. As I said before, this is in a mature ecosystem, which is already stable. Therefore, the number of insects that are lost per day ends up being more or less replenished after a while. But if the number of frogs increases brutally, the insects decrease, so the plants do not reproduce and the herbivores lack food, which in turn, when they disappear, They cause the disappearance of the predators that fed on them, and of the fruits we eat. I think that there is no problem with two or three frogs more or less, but the amount you have raised other times has dramatically altered an ecosystem.

I rescue tadpoles almost every year in my pool, I would find a cup so I can put them where we keep them. I love watching them grow into frogs they are adorable
He’s probably only keeping them in the aquarium until they hatch & are large/strong enough to be relocated to the backyard pond. Once they develop their limbs, lose their tails, and rely on their lungs, they won’t be strictly aquatic, so they can’t stay in that tank anyway, unless he drains most of the water. And there will be WAY too many of them to thrive in that small tank. This can’t be his permanent plan.
