Thanks John for the video. I changed the hvac heat actuator today, following your tutorial. I'm 88 years old, so biggest thing was getting down under dash! Only thing I found different was the bolt head on 2007 h3 is 1/4 in, not 6mm! Thanks.
Great video thanks brother. Looks like a easy one to get to. Great information about how to change it out. Keep up the great work see you in the next video thanks again brother

@@KarpisMaksudian The actuator that have been ordered from the following links below should be ok and no-one has ever returned them. I have a question for you. I am unable to reach the top actuator - too short of arms. I took it to a mechanic and he said he needs a special tool to remove it? I heard on your video you used a 6mm socket - is there anything else? I want to get this fixed I had purchased the part but am unable to reach the darn thing lol.
Thank you for the tutorial. I like the Hummer if I ever get one and need work in my doors I will make sure to get in contact with you . Best wishes for you take care and be well.
Good job. The newer actuators are much easier to replace. I had to replace one of the actuators on our 1996 Dodge van. Not easy. Had to take half the dash apart to get to it. Second problem was the replacement vacuum operated actuator was no longer available through Dodge. None in local junkyards. None on eBay. Finally found a dealer in California that had one. Turned out I actually had two issues on our van. The vacuum actuator was bad, and there were a couple small vacuum leaks on the brittle old vacuum lines. Wonder what kind of idiot Dodge engineer thought that PLASTIC vacuum lines would be a good idea in a confined space like an engine room.
wow, you really went through it buddy, I consider myself lucky, just a little pain on my ribs but I can live with that. Thanks for the great comment Tom. It may help someone out there. Have a great weekend.
have you ever had a fan clutch problem with H3? i have one that sounds like a diesel when taking off to the road then after some seconds it will go away but then it will happen when the A/C is on and it will repeat randomly when i turn the H3 on again
This is normal operation of a fan clutch. There is a fluid inside the clutch when it gets hot enough it locks down and increases airflow which increases noise. As you drive the noise goes away because the clutch is disengaging and less airflow is being produced
@@reggie6048 I cant find the schematic sorry. But to find the bad one just follow the clicking noise under the dash and with a flashlight you should be able to see which one is skipping by the way the white gear is turning.
Have ticking noise..also ac runs fine unless temp goes over 88 degrees then blows warm air with cold....replaced high and low sides.. feron, checked compressor..replaced Thermostat, and thermostat housig.. I hope that this is the issue..love the Hummer but we are in Texas! This HEAT SUCKS!

You Sir, are an inspiration! Glad it helped and thank you very much for the feedback👍
That ticking noise from a dash happen to many cars. Thanks John for your detailed repair vlog :)
Thank you
Great way to show us how to do it.
Thanks Mark
Well done. That noise would've had me going nuts trying to figure out what it was. 😂
Yea, my wife had to drive it for a couple days till I got the part LOL😂
Glad this was in one of the easier places to get to. Once you start getting into those small places it can be tricky to get to them.
SUVs are usually easier to get to everything. I always found cars to be a pain for everything.
Nice video John. That looked a heck of easier to replace than the blend door in my pickup was. thumbs up!
Thanks guys
Great fix John keep them rolling.

A good video of your blend door actuator replacement. I will know what to check if I start hearing that kind of ticking sound. Thank you for sharing.
If the motor goes it will not make a sound.:) Thanks Dave
Hi, thanks for the clip.
Do you have the catalog number of each of the three parts?
Yes I do. See the links in the description.

Driver side not passenger
good catch 👍
Says nothing about recalibrating the doors.
Unless I got real lucky, No calibrating needed for mine. Take off old and install new as it comes aligned by manufacturer.

Uhhh, passenger side??.😂
Someone is paying attention. 👍
